Well I know you can do it with the Street fighter 4 models, and the ones for the new Mortal Kombat games.

Maybe with some further investigation, you can find the answer for some others.

Do I get this right? You do mean getting the character in such a pose ingame and make rip a frame of that exact moment?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zborik In reply to Zborik [2011-08-09 10:29:29 +0000 UTC]

like getting someone in the t-pose in the game?
also: can you recommend a rigging tutorial?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gabe687 In reply to Zborik [2011-08-09 15:20:02 +0000 UTC]

There are ways to view models in their rigging pose. In STF4 PC you can extract them like that. It's not a capture of them animated in the game.

Rigging tutorials, you just have to look around. Check on youtube and different CG forums.

hey gabe, my name is brandon im a musician. im working on this dubstep song that has a lot of shao kahn vocal samples in it and id like to make a video for it. this is really just a passion project but i was wondering if you might be interested in collaborating on the video. i also work with mudbox, zbrush and maya but if you have all the files and can sync them to some audio, this could sound realy legit

Love your "Bloody MK" characters. Planning on doing more? Would love the cyborgs, and at least all the characters up to MK2. Fantastic work and new additions to the movelists!

I'm still working on stuff for regular mugen not MKP, but I'm trying to get it done with 3D models instead of edited sprites. I've started making some 3d animations with Scorpion so far.

ADivineUnicorn In reply to gabe687 [2011-04-11 04:16:50 +0000 UTC]

I've seen your 3D renders and animations on another forum and they were amazing. What are the difference with Regular Mugen? If I were to switch to use your characters, do i jut drag and drop the ones for MKP into Mugen folder? or is there more to it? Love the edits for MKP, it's like a true MK4

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gabe687 In reply to ADivineUnicorn [2011-04-17 23:40:03 +0000 UTC]

If characters are made for MKP, they won't work right on regular mugen. The system code was changed too much for the MK play style, and it will cause lots of bugs.

The stuff I'm doing now is for regular mugen, which is drag and drop. The first edits I made were for MKP when I was just learning how to code and make edits.

for your winmugen mk chars why do i always here a "kssshh" when ever i land a jump?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gabe687 In reply to 9888888 [2011-03-26 15:51:21 +0000 UTC]

The old ones were for MKP4.1, if you play them on winmugen, you'll get bugs. The system code is different, so it won't work right outside of MKP.

You need to learn anatomy, life drawing helps a lot. Training DVDs are a must IMO. Post your work on CG forums for critique.

Lots and lots of Practice.

I just stopped by your profile by way of Luis Mangubat's gallery (you left a comment on one of his works). I just started in Zbrush yesterday and am learning a lot about it, and found your gallery extremely inspiring. I've had an idea in my head for a 3D sculpt of a well-known literary character that I've always seen in my head as a cross between your Zangief and Eartquake sculpts, and using those as jumping-off point I think I now know exactly how I want to portray him.

Thank you for being such an amazing inspiration, and keep up the awesome work!
