ok so on zahler's request the two have a math competition with shea blindfolded and zahler's favorite form of "punishment" for the loser and then their kids walk in and think that this is some kind of BDSM foreplay when it's just the two of them being bored and killing time or something (maybe they're lying but the kids will never know 
is that a not so fail idea?

what the punishment is... i have no clue but i do know that zeke freaks out and swift covers his eyes giving her parents that "you're so weird" look while zeke's being a spazz
and yes i picture swift and zeke being spazzes when they think no one's looking

hence the futon bit. the two are very protective of the family room as it's their spazzing grounds, where all spazziness ensues. and they love using the futon for spazzy things.
when zahl's away, shea grabs a camera and records their spazziness and sends it to zahler as a way of making him laugh and zahl LOVES to encroach on their territory, often using their dreams as ammo.
as for the "punishment", shea has to do whatever zahler tells him to do. so the kids walk in at an early point and see "mommy" sitting on daddy's lap blindfolded and make assumptions and such.

Zahler encroaches on everyone's territory, hence his Capricorn brother Aevan constantly remarking that Zahler is an 'entitled bastard'.

technically though the house is the parents property and zahler loves telling swift that whenever she tells him that he's encroaches on the spazzing grounds.
also picture zahler getting a video from shea and it contains zeke and swift when they were younger dancing in front of the tv to "single ladies"
