Why Numbuh Two?

I was right! Well, except for the balls part.

He was the inventor, remember? He made all the weapons and doo dads and what not. It was his thang, so to speak lol.

Basically Shippuden happened lol.

Yeah, but he could be pretty goofy at times.

Numbuh 2: *exaggerated fight story*

Numbuh 4: He hit the ceiling when you two jumped up, didn't he?

Numbuh 2: Well... Yeah... But *continues with story*

So? Lol, it's not like Jimmy or Dexter were all that serious all the time

AquaRaptor In reply to Dragonsandpikminrock [2012-04-15 02:12:01 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but it was one of Hogie's (sp?) trademarks. Nigel's always been the man with the plan, anyhow.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonsandpikminrock In reply to AquaRaptor [2012-04-15 02:17:11 +0000 UTC]

But those weren't exactly people with plans were they? Just inventor geniuses. I mean, Dexter and Neutron had entire shows based around them screwing things up lol. Other characters provided the common sense.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AquaRaptor In reply to Dragonsandpikminrock [2012-04-15 02:29:34 +0000 UTC]

Ah, but you see, they always had the cunning and wit necessary to fix their giant mistakes. Jimmy's brain blasts were always unexpected (for me, anyway) and Dexter's last minute solutions for issues were made of sheer brilliance cleverly disguised with stupidity (how do you get rid of an imaginary friend? Imagine it gone, of course).

The finale for KND pretty much sealed the deal for Nigel in my book. I almost feel kind of bad for Father. He's going to be hard pressed out there in space.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonsandpikminrock In reply to AquaRaptor [2012-04-15 02:31:40 +0000 UTC]

So did Numbuh Two lol. And the best part is, his inventions worked. As opposed to... y'know... NOT.

So you don't believe in the GKND?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

AquaRaptor In reply to Dragonsandpikminrock [2012-04-15 02:35:42 +0000 UTC]

Wait... I looked up GKND.

Father was looking specifically for Numbuh One, I think.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonsandpikminrock In reply to AquaRaptor [2012-04-15 02:38:38 +0000 UTC]

Yes he was... and Numbuh One was part of the GKND....

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AquaRaptor In reply to Dragonsandpikminrock [2012-04-15 02:46:45 +0000 UTC]

He came back to Earth at the end of the episode, right when Father left to go after him. So Father's pretty much going to be chasing after nothing out htere.

Dragonsandpikminrock In reply to AquaRaptor [2012-04-15 02:36:38 +0000 UTC]

Numbuh Two's piloting skills, plans, and inventions often saved the day. For instance, the Numbuh Zero movie.

The way you said it made me think that YOU thought the whole finale was a lie Numbuh One told Father to get him to go to space. Sorry lol. I haven't slept in over 24 hours...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AquaRaptor In reply to Dragonsandpikminrock [2012-04-15 02:49:00 +0000 UTC]

I don't remember that in the movie for some reason. Maybe I should watch it again. The aged hamsters always struck me as cool and heartbreaking at the same time.

Nah, it was a bait and switch plan. Sort of. Well, not really. But you get the gist.

Have you seen Rio?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonsandpikminrock In reply to AquaRaptor [2012-04-15 14:41:00 +0000 UTC]

I agree, but the main thing I'm saying is that Numbuh Two's inventions saved the day. And would have done so sooner if not for Numbuh Three and Four screwing it up lol

And I know that, I was just confused if you did. I figured Numbuh One was sending him out to get the crap kicked out of him by the GKND

And no I didn't. Family did though, and they liked it...

A fitting fate for the man who evidently hasn't aged for nearly a century. The use of live actors was kind of jarring, though.

It was wonderful! I don't normally think much of the visual style of 3D films, but everything about Rio was gorgeous! And contrary to popular belief, Rio wasn't the reason Newt got cancelled, but you may have seen my post about that on FF already.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonsandpikminrock In reply to AquaRaptor [2012-04-15 15:12:40 +0000 UTC]

Shadow powers seem to stop aging. Like magnetic fields stopping time.

What is Newt? And I wanted to see it, but now that Brave is coming my priorities are shifting lol

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AquaRaptor In reply to Dragonsandpikminrock [2012-04-15 15:28:23 +0000 UTC]

Newt is a cancelled film of Pixar about a lab newt named (ahem) Newt who meets up with a wild newt named Brooke. They're the last of their kind, but while Newt is pampered and docile, Brooke is street smart and gruff. Needless to say, they're off to a bad start. The concept art posted on Pixar's Facebook also implies that they escape the lab at some point.

This is pretty much the same exact setup as Rio, but when I spoke to a Disney representative (my friend's father), he said it would've actually been very different from Rio, and that Pixar canceled it because they had a growing dislike of the direction the film was taking.

Short version: It just wasn't working out, so they dropped it.

Here's the concept art: [link]

I'm kinda glad they didn't go through with it. Too much like Rats of Nimh all around....

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AquaRaptor In reply to Dragonsandpikminrock [2012-04-15 15:50:11 +0000 UTC]

The CEO of Pixar very, very, very, very vaguely implied that they may pick it up again in the future, but since they've already spilled the concept art, I'm not optimistic.

What other cartoons do you like? Other than the ones you've mentioned already?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonsandpikminrock In reply to AquaRaptor [2012-04-15 18:06:03 +0000 UTC]

We'll see.

Samurai Jack was fantastic. Powerpuff Girls. Most old toons really. New stuff can go die. Although I do like Gumball...

As for toon movies... Land Before Time, Balto, Lion King, Toy Story (most old Disney basically) as well as Rats of NIMH, All Dogs Go To Heaven, Kung Fu Panda 1+2, How to Train Your Dragon, and Megamind.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AquaRaptor In reply to Dragonsandpikminrock [2012-04-15 20:34:33 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I figured that when you favorite'd a Gumball-related video on YouTube.

Do you mean the Secret of NIMH? Or is this a related film?

What about the "transition era" cartoons (Gym Partner, Squirrel Boy, Camp Lazlo, exc)?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonsandpikminrock In reply to AquaRaptor [2012-04-15 21:07:51 +0000 UTC]

Woot Gumball.

Er... idk. The book is called Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, but the movie might be called the secret. Super intelligent rats, secret society, mouse baby dying, cat, running, death, owl, etc.

Gym Partner was tolerable, Squirrel Boy was a knock off but ok-ish, and Camp Lazlo was HIGHLY enjoyable. Obviously KND was good too.

A bit. Loud, obnoxious partner with few to no morals who also happens to be an animal? Suspicious similarities are.... suspicious...

And he was awesome. Also, Fosters Home was pretty sweet.

Lol, I've seen that pic before. It's awesome.

Now that you mention it, they seem like two sides of the same coin. Gym Partner was about humanized zoo animals while Squirrel Boy was about humanized pets.

Yay Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust.

Sorry that I haven't commented on your comic yet, but I've been in a foul mood for a week straight and I don't want to critique something funny when I'm mad.

I do like Lord Boss, though. He's such a dick.

AquaRaptor In reply to Wisdom-Thumbs [2011-07-10 03:46:42 +0000 UTC]

Eh, that's fine. I don't really blame you for being in a foul mood.

I'm leaving for animation camp tomorrow and will be gone until the 23rd/24th, so I won't be on a much. I'm not sure if they have an internet cafe, but if not, I could always use my phone.

So how was hog sniping?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Wisdom-Thumbs In reply to AquaRaptor [2011-07-10 04:54:54 +0000 UTC]

Animation camp? That's awesome! What all are you going to do there?

How did you learn about the hog sniping? Did I post that on FF.net? I can't remember... :/

Hog sniping was alright. I sat there for hours with ants crawling in my shoes, flies and bees harassing my face, straining my ears for every noise. After hours of waiting, everyone else started leaving. When I was the last one left, I decided to take a leak real quick, and as I was unzipping my pants I heard a faint snort...

Grabbed my rifle, turned on the holographic sight, and looked. Sure enough, a hundred yards away was a huge hog that had waited us all out so he could get a drink. I shot him in the head under one eye and again through center mass when he wouldn't die. Poor guy lived another five minutes swimming around in the water before some of the people who'd left came back. I would have shot him again, but they wanted to shoot him when he came out of the water (even though he didn't).

All very exciting. Not the mass swarm of hogs I was expecting, so I didn't get to fire wildly into a horde of them, but my extreme patience and well-tuned ears got one anyway.

I'm going to learn how to use Adobe Flash professionally and all that jazz. Maybe half a decade from now, I can turn Paro into a Flash series since I don't think it'd really work on television. The Explosm guys made a career out of a gag-per-day webcomic, so a guy can dream...

You mentioned it on FF. I saw the Facebook album, too.

Haha, nice. It's interesting how hogs seem resilient to gunshots, even if they still end up dead either way. Why were you out hunting, anyway?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Wisdom-Thumbs In reply to AquaRaptor [2011-07-10 05:21:22 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, hogs are frigging tough. And this was a big-ass boar - he was also pretty damn smart (the fact that he didn't come to take a drink until I walked away is proof of that). Still he survived a bullet to the head and another that passed through most of his major internal organs. Granted, the first bullet missed his brain because I hit too low, but still...

We were hunting because there was very, very little water left in the tank, and our cows need the water. But hogs have been drinking it all, and it's an incredibly hot summer with no rain.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AquaRaptor In reply to Wisdom-Thumbs [2011-07-10 05:37:27 +0000 UTC]

Go figure. I wonder if hogs make a good stew...

Reminds me of the rabbit my Grandpa was trying to catch (it was smart enough to avoid his trap). I should ask him what happened to it...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Wisdom-Thumbs In reply to AquaRaptor [2011-07-10 05:40:20 +0000 UTC]

Hell if I know, I've never had the opportunity to eat a hog unless it was well-processed and store-bought. And the correct term for those things is "pig".

Though I don't think you'd make them into a stew. They're better as pork and bacon and stuff like that. Though I guess you COULD make it into a stew, and it'd probably be pretty damn good if it was a good hog.

Figures, I was. It's starving southern seabirds, not causing dead zones.

AquaRaptor In reply to Wisdom-Thumbs [2011-07-10 05:48:59 +0000 UTC]

What, those obese pink things that indirectly contribute to dead zones in the ocean because the industry overfishes to feed them which lets plankton propagate out of control which is a problem you can help mend by switching to grass fed pork?

...Or is it CO2 that rockets the plankton's growth and am I confusing the fish part with a different domino affect?

On an unrelated not, V Rex reviewed my Issue 13 script. It was... interesting...

Wisdom-Thumbs In reply to AquaRaptor [2011-07-10 06:51:30 +0000 UTC]

Pigs don't eat fish, btw.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AquaRaptor In reply to Wisdom-Thumbs [2011-07-10 14:52:18 +0000 UTC]

They do, actually. [link]

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Wisdom-Thumbs In reply to AquaRaptor [2011-07-10 19:08:03 +0000 UTC]

That's actually bullshit. They eat very little meat, and any fish they consume is what's left over from the stuff we don't consume. Most pigs are raised in CAFOs and eat crap ([link] ).

As far as actual farm raised pigs by a farmer go, they are fed many things in order to have a healthy diet. This includes grains such as ground corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, barley and grain sorghum. They will also be fed some greens and dried food made from meat. However, what little meat they eat hardly ever includes fish, and when it does include fish, it's the parts of a fish that nothing else will eat. The fish isn't actually caught for them - it's caught for us, and animals that DO eat fish, and maybe a tiny fraction that's left over is given to CAFO animals. That said, this is only North American pigs I'm talking about - I don't know about pigs in other countries.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

AquaRaptor In reply to Wisdom-Thumbs [2011-07-11 04:20:45 +0000 UTC]

…They didn't mean that ALL farms do it, just that a lot of fish is used in pig feed. It's not "viral" among farms, mind you, but 'chovies do find their way into pig feed. It's like saying commercial cows are fed on slop that contains brains from dead cows. The statement is technically true, but it doesn't apply to ALL cow farms. But judging by the nature of such

The program I first heard this from (Stuff Happens) ironically stated that the solution is to buy more anchovies, because the increased demand will elevate prices and discourage this practice. [link]

It also depends on what kind of farm you're referring to. Pigs in factory farms are obviously treated totally different than free range oinkers, or those on a more traditional farm.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Wisdom-Thumbs In reply to AquaRaptor [2011-07-11 05:05:50 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, fish is going to find its way into pig diet. They get a lot of waste thrown in there.

Farm grown pigs are typically given either nasty disgusting gruel full of waste, or really healthy balanced diets. What little fish finds its way into the pig diet is going to amount to far less than 1% of the world's fish consumption - there's no effing way it's as much as 17%, because the people in Japan tend to eat fish all the time. Besides that, the only fish pigs eat are the bits that are rejected for human consumption - at least they're not being wasted.

I just realized that I didn't finish typing one of my sentences…

Don't they gobble down just about anything from the sea in Japan? lol

But having realized that we just spent the past three days discussing/debating how much fish commercial pigs eat, I'm going to change the subject. My first class was awesome! Flash is actually easier to use than I anticipated, and I made a smooth animation of a ball bouncing down a table. Spiffy!
