I just read that you wanted to teach your horses as natural as possible. I think that's great!
The tough approach with metal bit and spurs is something I dislike. Punishment is not the way to achieve what you want with the animal. Go for it! You'll probably do a good job as horse trainer, haha

I really hate it to, & I've seen horses that clearly don't like bits & being told "He works better in one", probably because he knows it's going to hurt if given a correction. I do know of a very small handful of horses that are okay with a bit, but their rider's know what they're doing with them, a majority of riders don't.

When I was starting out, I tried a million bits with my horse because I thought it was a must. I finally got fed up with him throwing his head around & clenching his teeth, that I just put reins on a halter & rode him like that. It worked, so I got a bitless device, & it's the best choice I've ever made for Irish. I've tried riding difficult horses with a halter & just mosey around & noticed the same thing with them, they seemed more comfortable.

I don't understand why people don't go for a more natural way of riding their horses. I think people who hate bitless riding, saying it's "harsh" & "you'll break your horse's nose" are just re-telling what they've been told. They've never actually tried it themselves out of fear from those rumors. If those things actually happened to a horse with a bitless headstall, then I'd not blame the headstall, but the person yanking on it.

Yeah I talked to her over Skype. She got fed up with some stalkers on DA and cut off. She said she'd come back to post a journal about it somewhere in the morning. She gave me a new DA but I don't think she'd want me to give it out just yet, in case her stalker comes to my page (which has happened before) and finds it. I'll update you if I'm allowed, or she will if she messages you first.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I use FireAlpaca. It's a whole lot simpler than GIMP (I've used GIMP for a few years & never once understood everything it had)
I think the brushes are better in FA, there's more tricks you can learn if you look up tutorials, downloading new brushes is a breeze, & the color wheel thingy is a lot easier to use.
