Reese didn't have a clue what was going on. Their brain was like a sieve, nothing really stuck. They had even etched their name into their arm, which appeared to be made of candy cane, just so they could remember. At least they'd be good at keeping secrets.

Megumi looked over at Reese. She tried to start conversation, "Sooo, Reese, what's your quirk?" She said, holding her finger in the air.

They took a second to think, surely they could remember something as important as a quirk, "Uhh..." They knew what it was, but struggled to describe it, "Like... Well, I'm made of, like, candy and cake and stuff." They rolled up one of their sleeves to show off one of their arms, "And I can slice stuff real good, like... Okay, I don't have anything to show you with at the moment, that I know of. Also my teeth are really good." They opened their mouth up to show off their teeth. Very sharp, maybe made of rock candy, or perhaps jawbreaker. It wasn't really obvious what need a candy person had for such sharp teeth, though. What would they even eat?

"Oooo! That's really cool!" she suddenly held her finger above her and she made Reese float for about 5 seconds, got a little nauseous, then lowered her finger and let them fall do the ground slowly.

Reese was confused the whole time, which was fairly normal for them, but they seemed to enjoy it. They got up and smiled, "That was cool."

"Th-Thank you…!" she held her hand over her mouth. "Using my power makes me sick though…" She seemed to swallow something, probably barf, and took her hand away from her mouth. "We should probably head inside."

"Yeah." They nodded. They looked up at the building again briefly before heading to it. They weren't sure what the main downside of their quirk was, though probably the teeth. They were useful, but having to gnaw on things wasn't fun. Rubber didn't work for them, they just bit right through it, so their current thing they carried around appeared to be some kind of metal. They didn't know if they'd be allowed it or not, though.

"Let's see," she walked inside. "We go to Class 1-A... There it is." she pointed to a classroom labeled "1-A"

Reese looked around at everything, this was all very impressive to them, "Should we go in now?"

"Sure," Megumi nodded. She headed into the classrrom

It was stated that only 18 students would get into each of UA's courses, but there were only 10.
A boy with side-swept red hair turned his head to Megumi. "Oh. YOU got in."
"Yes I did Chao," Megumi replied.
"How? You can make things float, and I can set you on FIRE!"

Reese stayed out of it, looking around and chewing on a necklace they had. It looked to be raw, solid metal, and it was rather small.

"Both of our abilities are strong, Chao! Just because you're a Todoroki doesn't mean you are the best!"
"But, we are. Me and my twin bro and older sister are the children of TWO powerful heroes! hey got into this very school through recommendations! They are POWERFUL!"
"Yeah, a corpse is powerful!" Yasuhiro said. "I'm sure that zombie is super strong! Megumi is DEKU'S kid. The most powerful hero of ALL TIME! So you better chill out."

Reese listened in, but didn't take in much of it. They'd heard some of those names before but not much else, but they assumed they were important.

"Chao can we please just drop this? We can talk after orientation and stuff!" Megumi said
"Fine." Chao scoffed. He looked at Reese. "I guess there are 10 students. I was hoping it'd be 9 and without you Megumi."
"Chao stop it!"

Reese wasn't paying even a drop of attention, like they'd just zoned out.

"G-Guys stop..!" A small student said. Their voice and figure made them seem female, but they wore the male uniform.
"Shut up you pants wearing slut," Chao mocked.
"Why do you care so much that I wear pants instead of a skirt! It's m-my choice! Everyone st-stop arguing!"
"The teacher's coming," A girl with long blue hair growled. "Everyone get in your seats."

Reese had no idea which seat was theirs, so just chose the closest one to them.

Everyone sat in a seat as the teacher walked in."Hello, class 1-A. I am Shota Aizawa."
"Good morning Mr. Aizawa," the blue haired girl said.

Reese stayed quiet in their seat.

"All of you guys should get known to each other in the class, then we'll go out for some training," Mr. Aizawa sluggishly said. He pointed to students one by one, telling them to introduce themselves, along with their quirk.
The blue-haired girl was named Amy Iida.
The short girl in the boy uniform was named Paula Mineta.
Chao had two siblings, Izo Todoroki and Hanako Todoroki.
A girl with purple hair was named Rai Kaminari.
Then Mr. Aizawa looked at Reese and asked for their name and quirk

Reese took a second to answer, having dozed off a bit, "U-Uh.. M-My name's Reese, I forgot my surname, and... uhh..." (ik the quirks have names but i haven't figured out a name for reese's ;-; )

"Forgot your surname?" Rai giggled. "Are you okay there Reese?"

Reese looked down at the floor, embarrassed. It was true they couldn't remember their surname, they had horrible memory, and they were far from proud of that.

Aizawa just looked at Reese, tapping his foot impatiently.

They eventually answered their quirk's name, though they seemed a bit unsure with their answer. They weren't going to be an easy student.

Aizawa sighed and made the remaining students; Megumi, Yasuhiro, Chao, and this boy named Kokichi Sero, introduce themselves.

"Alright, let's go out for training," Aizawa walked out and motioned everyone to follow

Reese got up out of his seat and left, trying to avoid eye contact with everyone as he was still embarrassed.

Aizawa lead everyone to the courtyard. "We'll be doing a series of tests to test your quirks. If your score is bad, you will be deemed unworthy and will be expelled on the spot."
"Wh-WHAT?" Rai yelped.
Chao pushed Megumi "Bye bye!"
"We have to do the tests before THAT'S decided!" Megumi stood up.
"But it's obvious you won't pass!"
"You don't know that, Hot Pocket!"

Reese listened, staying by the back so he hopefully wouldn’t be forced to do it first. He looked at his arms and sighed.

Paula stuck a bit of their long tounge out.
"Let's get started. Let's start with a 100 meter dash," Aizawa said.

Reese wasn’t bad at running, just a bit clunky sometimes. They were a bit tired today, so knew they’d need a bit of energy quickly. Sugar would do the trick, but they didn’t have any on them - besides themselves. When no one was looking, they took a bite out of their hair, which was made of pure cotton candy.

They would each take turns; two people would run at one time. Quirks were allowed to use to move instead of running, too. THe first runners were Paula and Reese.

Reese looked at the track, it was fairly obvious that a chunk of his hair was missing. It was enough to energise him though, though he'd have to deal with a sugar crash later on.

A robot was at the end of the track to measure the speed.
"3..2..1. Go."
Paula seemed to be jumping like a toad and using their tongue to get ahead.

Reese just ran normally. He was a bit on the shorter side, though, so wasn't terribly fast. At least he had the energy to make it the whole way though.

Paula was only around 3 feet tall but since they were a toad based on their quirk, they jumped far enough to get to the end before them.

He managed to finish the race, not too far behind Paula but a noticeable distance. He sighed tiredly, hoping this didn’t mean he’d be expelled.

Aizawa wrote down the distances then called other pairs to run/use their quirks.
Next was Rai and Amy. Amy had jets in her calves so she was finished almost immediately while Rai had to just run; her quirk just gave her hanging tazers out of her ear. Amy finished almost immediately but Rai was real slow.
Next was Megumi and Kokichi. Megumi made Kokichi float to buy herself time and run since she wasn't fast. She ended up beating him by one second.
Chao and Yasuhiro went next. Yasuhiro used his tail to jump around and just barely lost to Chao.
Izo and Hanako went next. Hanako won by a long shot.
"That's the first test," Aizawa wrote down all of the times. "I'll give you a sec to catch your breath then we have the next test."

Reese watched all of them closely. They weren’t very good at running, so they envied all of the others.
They sat down to rest, gnawing at their hand a bit for some more energy.

Chao started making fun of Megumi again, no surprise. "You needed to use your quirk to stop him, you couldn't beat him on foot, loser!"
"Chao the point is to use our quirks...We couldn't have gotten into UA without them..."
"Alright everyone get up it's time for the second test," Aizawa said,

Next few tests were of muscle strength. There was some gym style equipment that was used. Chao had the biggest muscle mass so he did best in those few tests.

Reese actually did pretty decently. His arms didn’t strain like a normal persons would, so he could go for a bit longer.

Some students were muscle based, some were pretty skinny, then there was Izo. He was small and chubby so he lagged way behind everyone else in scoring.
The final test was seeing how far someone could throw a ball.
Megumi went first. She threw the ball, and her quirk made it stay in the sky forever.
Aizawa showed the score of her throwing it. The machine said "∞"
"INFINITY? WOAH!" Kokichi said.

Reese watched, a bit nervous for their last test.

"Alright who's next," Aizawa sighed. "I just want to get this over with..."
"I'll go next," Hanako said. "It's fine if I use my quirk to propel the ball?"
"Sure. whatever."
"Good," Hanako suddenly pulled a baseball bat out of her skin and hit the ball with it, sending it far. She grumbled because the baseball bat came out covered in ice. Her right side let her create things, and her left side let her use ice and fire, but she had little control over them.
Soon enough the others went, Izo once again, doing poorly.

Reese's turn also went badly. Due to a bit of anxiety they had before this, their hands had gotten rather sweaty. But instead of actual water, they had a syrupy-type substance, so the ball got stuck to their hand.

Rai snickered a bit then said, "How did it get stuck to their..."
Aizawa yawned. "Hurry. Up."
