Hm... I don't have a specific preference of style owo, though there's certain styles I DON'T like (like the 80's old-school ones....) but other than that I'm pretty open, haha.

I like the 80's shoujo ones, but not the shounen ones. I'm open to pretty much anything as well, but my favorite style are ones that use a lot of black and are more "2D" without being too detailed (like D.Gray-man or Dogs). Currently, I'm really enjoying the shading in Pandora Hearts.

ah ic o.o by 80's style i meant for anime.. which is prolly more like 70's manga -__-? i watch lotsa anime but dun relle have the patience to read manga... (luv voices/ sfx/ colors @_@) haha

Hmmm...I'm not actually sure about the correlation. But I like the style in Yami no Purple Eye if you've heard of that one. It's also refreshing because back then, shoujo was about more than just emotions and love. Actually, I was reading a pretty interesting article that explains how the shoujo genre started out as more of an alternative genre. It mostly focused on the supernatural and explored storytelling that deviated from mainstream shonen manga. But I think that was back in the 60's and 70's.
I'm actually the exact opposite. I don't have the patience to watch anime. In manga, I can skim, but in anime, I have to wait for the sequences to go by (especially since I have slow internet so I can't just fast forward). Voices are really fun XD But I hate it when I read a manga and the voice in the anime isn't what I expected.
