You question it?  Before I retired I made my living as a graphic artist doing book illustrations, animation and advertising.  Along with engineering and architectural design.

It's okay.  I quite understand your skepticism.  I often see some on this site claim to be a professional artist even though they just draw art.  To me a professional is someone who can support themselves with their skills.  So I sometime take the "professional" label in some titles with a grain of salt.
