well in thief 4 they are more stupid than in thief 1-3 together
on expert you had really problems in the old games with the guards, because then they also look UNDER tables!!
When you hide with garrett under a table they look under it, they look up the walls when you hang their with your climbing gloves but in thief 4...always the same, no matter if you play on easy or expert

Right in thief 4 it's a miracle the guards don't kill themselves with their own swords -.-...But in every thief game they always say stupid things^^They're funny^^

yeah but there is a different between talking funny and do the job or talk bullshit and do nothing usefull 
really the guards in thief 4 are the stupidest NPCs I have ever seen in a videogame
