That sounds alright. Just to let you know though, the smaller my tails are, especially keychain size like that, the more matted it gets and the quicker it gets matted. : / Mostly because it's so light that it moves around a lot and touches everything and the fur gets all tangled.

I took it down, actually, because several people couldn't understand the directions and I was being harassed for it. Apparently theirs didn't turn out as good as mine, and it was my fault. : /

Aaaaww!...well, I'll sure give it a try, if you still have the file with the tutorial ^^ I have made the first half faux real fur of yarn, and it seems to me your process is quite the same. Brushing out the fibers in the yarn, right? :3
It could be cool to make feathers the same way ^^

You made /half/ of it with faux fur? I can't imagine how that would look, the process I do has NOTHING in common with stiching fabric of ANY kind together. XD I'd like to see it. =3

No, it is not made of faux fur, but of yarn . First I crochet a tube of yarn and then I attach the yarn in the tube. If you seek at "yarn tail" here at DA you vil find some examples of this type of tail :3. After this I brush out the yarnbits on the tube. I hope you dont get confused by my explanation here ^^'
