When i'm 18 i want to join the german Bundeswehr and fight in Afghanistan against terrorism. But first i must complete school^^

wow, what can you say about iraq? Do you get a danger bonus for being in iraq?
Here in Germany you get about 100 Euro (150 Dollar) per Day for being in afghanistan and your normal payment.

regularly everyone has to serve at least 7 years. I was a wounded in an IED attack at my 4th year, then I got an extension, boom I was out of hell. If Germany joins Iraq campaign, I have to finish my duty even if I become a crap.

yeah we get hazard pay when we go over, I forgot how much we get but it's alot. plus we don't get taxed while there either.

Yeah, thats maybe the only true good thing about the whole.
But I will serve military service. Here in Germany you must go for 9 month to the Army.

I wanted to know which picture others have of our country
I dont like the national nacism reign from '33 to '45. I think only that the German Soldiers did their best and should also get tribute.
But in Germany The Wehrmacht and the Schutzstaffel (Nazis)
are handled the same. You cant say that you liked the german military without called a Nazi.
A this goes too far ^^
The thing is do you think a German could be proud of their Army?

Well I am German, Born in Berlin raised their for six years before my mom decided to move to America (didn't want to move but she made me) I am better with english than German since I've been in america longer.

But military half of the family was revolved around the Third Reich. My Great Uncle was in the Waffen SS. we're not exactly proud of that, but he only did what he was told. he was fighting for Germany Not for Hitler. Mainly the Schutzstaffel gave the German army a bad name.

Of course! Everyone needs to be proud of their country do not revolve yourselves around the Past. The Past is gone everyone need to worry about the present and future. ^^

I always considered about going to the US Army. But now I will go to the German Army because its easier for me to get there.
