Miss Tiffany, I appreciate your good intentions and your good reading of the Scripture. I understand your point of reminding me of my relationship with the people.

I am not running away from the people.

Some people are called to be like 'Martha'- doing active work with the people and a very few are called to be like 'Mary'- spending time in the presence of God and doing the work of Faith (for the people and especially for the souls in Purgatory). And our Lord praised Mary's role.

Furthermore, Lord Jesus praised the faith of the Roman Centurion.

What I am driving at is- I am called to live a life of prayer in solitude and silence, doing the works of Charity through Faith- not forgetting that the fruits of my prayer life is for the good of the people.


Monastics and Hermits are called to be 'deep sea fishermen'. They do much work of Charity through their strong faith in God.

The fragrance of Holiness of the Monastic life will not remain concealed within the walls of the Monastery- it will spread wide across the world and draw God' abundant Blessings on the people.

Miss Tiffany, Holy Scripture is not an easy word to understand.

If you seek it with Humility, you'll understand God's word (in the light of Truth) and God's people. If you seek it with zeal for knowledge and learning, you'll become hardhearted and end up like Scribes and Pharisees.

You'll need to meditate on following words of Jesus: "I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it. However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth." [John 16:12-13 ]

Seek God's grace to understand it and then you'll understand God's people.

St. Paul gives us the first evidence, where he speaks in addition to Lord's teaching( inspired by the Spirit of Truth) : ""But to the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother..." [1 Cor7:12 ]

Take care ! how you read the Holy Scripture. The disposition should always be humble and contrite, while reading the Holy Scripture.




P.S. I am not a Scripture scholar. If I want to pursue in that direction, I have all the potential needed  to be a Scholar. Instead, I follow the advice of  St. Thomas Aquinas( Doctor of the Church) and St. Ignatius of Loyola- they learned more through humble prayer than books. I rely on God for the understanding of the Scripture and receive only what God wants me to understand- nothing more than that.

Paul the apostle also said:

If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

(1 Corinthians 14:37-38)

And to those he was writing to, he addressed as saints. All those who are being sanctified by the Holy Spirit are Saints.

You made the right in becoming a monk! You've got the great gift of being able to draw people closer to the Holy Spirit. However, I must tell you that one doesn't necessarily has to be a monk in order to lead a religious life. Though it is very hard, it is possible for one to be very religious and be a doctor or any other kind of job. Monks serve as a very important tool for the spreading of God's words and they serve the role of shepherds ( though it's not exclusive to them and not all monks at like that for some are evil). A normal religious individual also is an important tool for the spread of God's words but, in most cases to a lesser extent and it also occurs in a different manner such as creating kids that will be molded in Christian values ( though they can still spread God's word in the same fashion as a monk).

From the day, I started discerning about my life- God inclined my heart towards HIS Holiness. Since then, no other worldly ambition got into my heart- even marriage!

I felt a greater need for solitude and silence.

I understand that married people, too, can live a 'Holy life'. But, I am not called for that.

"some are evil…"  I agree. We are weak human beings. Not everyone is enamored of God.

P.S. You use  too strong words, to express your disapproval. You should be moderate and make wise use of 'euphemism'.

I hope you take this in a friendly manner. You see, we are thousands of miles apart. I cannot guess your mood- right now. Be assured, I am not writing this to hurt your feelings.

In your two notes viz. one on my profile page: " some are evil.."- the word "evil"

In my other note viz. "God's commandments- an elixir of  life"- you used " "most anti- Christian countries", "very intolerant"- these words evoke strong negative feelings.

These words may instigate someone' feelings- or hurt them badly.

I presume you, to be a good young woman- not short tempered or sulky.

As a writer, we have to be aware of People' nature and use our words wisely- even if it means to express criticism.
