I usually avoid them - the attitude of a lot of the forumites just makes me sad - but I wandered in to see the news about the upcoming patch.

How are you finding the game?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TCPolecat7 In reply to silenceyoursword [2014-01-15 23:51:37 +0000 UTC]

I'm enjoying it, but the late game difficulty curve needs a serious tweak. Getting tired of being 1 and 2 shotted bu random mobs while wearing my best gear....

Agreed.
Personally I'm not playing it at the moment, waiting for the upcoming patch and final wipe before I put any more time into it

while we wait for the next episode, why not a few questions? In the story, Auto-Chariots are mentioned, but just how far did the technology progress? Example: '50s era automobiles? 30's? 60s? just thinking it might be fun to include a few.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TCPolecat7 In reply to ParticalMass [2013-06-01 10:31:23 +0000 UTC]

The auto-chariots attempts were very remedial, and didn't go very far. Think closer to early WW1 bi-planes (and a fervent desire to keep the same basic shape of the chariot) before it was terminated as unfeasable.

Ah, so pretty much they just skipped a few steps and rolled them selves up to a cliff, jumped and hoped for the best... obviously it didn't work, also was wondering more about the tech involved, I like being accurate

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TCPolecat7 In reply to ParticalMass [2013-06-04 10:29:17 +0000 UTC]

It was rudimentary. After all, they don't have horseless carriages yet, so the idea of a self-propelled machine hasn't really caught on. The Specials are an anacronism...

Im back with more questions! Did you mention a school for specials in book 2? Also are specials allowed the royal guard?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TCPolecat7 In reply to Chill-penguin [2013-02-16 11:27:18 +0000 UTC]

I never mentioned a school for specials, no, but the Agency from book 1 is converted to help Specials train and the like. As for the Royal guard, they are generally asked to move into the agency if their powers are discovered after joining. Prior to joining they will direct them to the Agency as well. Flourish is a good example of this, since her backstory (from book 1) indicated she was a royal guard until her power came to light, and she was laterally transferred to the Agency from there.
