great! What's nice about how the R3 Challenging Art Challenge is run: it's not a competition, and the rules are few. 

You can post for new or previous jams. You can use new or existing works. It's all to inspire the artists and have fun. I use it as a warm up each week, before other projects...

well, I hope one day I'll have drawn everyone in every version, but time is running out!

The best thing to do is join and then send me a note to add them to the R3 Challenging Art Challenge pool of subjects. That way, when it's pulled as a jam for the week, you'll get other people doing them too. 

I've done a few New 52 pieces so far...

I actually started out drawing comics and doing a lot of miniature and diorama work, looking to get into what we now call practical FX, but at the time were just FX. I wanted to be a worldbuilder like Syd Mead. I went to architecture school so that I might be a better set designer. But I ended up accidentally enjoying architecture and history and went into the field professionally. I always intended to do my comics on the side and go small press, and that is what I did, though I have a healthy commission and commercial illustration business as well. 

Chase that dream!

Im probably not the right guy to talk to about it. I'm not scared of Affleck in the role OR Batman stunt plotting int he first place. The film will be awesome or terrible based on script, directing, acting and largely editing, and we won't know until it hits, so I reserve judgment and choose to be optimistic. Also, I think Affleck was excellent in Argo as director AND actor. He's come a long way. We'll see!

dude. it's in a pot. The pot is pulled from weekly. There are some number of random selections in there. Eventually it will be slected, and then every participating artist for that week will take a whack at it. I can't say when that would be.

If you are hot for this art, the normal approach would be to commission it, of course.

Well, primarily I do commissions in full color, though I also offer 'con sketch' pencil drawings at a reduced rate.

ok then. and i did see your fan art pics of the Beetle. they were pretty cool. and are you aware that there's now a female version of the character? her real name is Janice (last name unknown), and is part of the Marvel NOW! comic series.

since you think it's okay for me to propose a request, this particular one i want you to do is of the female version of the Beetle with and without her suit. in her suitless appearance, her clothing will consist of black shorts, black shoes, and a pink tank top that shows her bellybutton. Plus, she'll have slight muscle tone, including her thighs, abs and biceps. Do you like the idea?
