Chronophontes In reply to Theropsida [2010-01-20 01:36:07 +0000 UTC]
I've visited! Awesome! I love those ancient reptiles, though I have a special soft spot for the ones who evolve into mammals - and toward dinosaurs as well, especially those who evolve into birds! (I love the hypsilophodonts too.)
I have to tell you something. Long ago, I imagined a species (the "bonjody") a present-day dinosaur descended from the ornithomimids, but quadrupedal, strictly herbivorous, and rather heavy. (Think of the evolution of the prosauropods into sauropods. I should probably post a picture of one - for now, imagine an intelligent-looking "sauropod" with short tail and neck, and a big brain and bird's beak.) My girlfriend (at the time) said "baby bonjodies should have feathers!" I sneered, because the paleontological wisdom of the time (mid-1970s) was just discovering that some dinosaurs might have been warm-blooded. Feathers were far in the future.
So I greatly admire my girlfriend's genius!

It sure is! But I'm glad you and I have the same feeling about which prehistoric life forms are the MOST amazing. (Sure, on some level they're all equal. But our emotional response to them does not have to be equal.)

I just want to say that what you are doing is awesome. I've always loved prehistory, and its wonderfull to see an artist who loves reconstructing such forgotten creatures as the mammal-like reptiles. (they often get forgotten about)
