took a weekend trip to see zoos and museums this week in louieville did a lot of holiday visiting with my family .. but found time to take more animal shots 8) i have gotten to love my little camara so much it makes me want money to get a really nice camera and then maybe takea photography class or something i have really enjoyed it. all thanks go to my husband and my dad for encouraging it so much. as they always do with my projects.

still working on getting my drawing back into shape .. doing small things also working on some glass etching and craft projects for the holidays. 8) and still taking some pictures though been so busy havent' had as much time to go out and take as many as i would like.

still enjoying messing with my camera , taking pictures of two kittens that have been lodging in my house. also trying to do a few sketches a week to get my drawing back into shape 8) been sticking the sketches in my sketchbook . still working on the paintings i hope to have them done soon 8)

i am working on two traditional paintings atm ..but keep getting side tracked with the want to take pictures .. i find the most fun things are animals and local landscape and my kids ( thought i haven't posted pics of my kids here ) and have started learning diff ways to edit mostly using picasa 3 .. but i have photoshope as well. i find it so fun to change the colors of things like take a color picture and see the whole new parts of the textures i see by turning it black and white. diff effects give more emotion then others.

i have put up a lot of sketches i am trying to decide on a long term project i want to do .. i did a painting of my husky dog in high school due to circumtstances that painting was lost .. i am wondering if i should do one like it again .. and post it .. not sure what media yet the original was a huge .. arcylic on plywood .. which i lvoed the texture of .. but i might also try to do it digitaly since still working with my new board .. 8)

just put up some traditional paintings i did .. i had to use a camara to get them posted sorry about that i dont' have a scanner and lol they are large so would have been hard to scan anyway .. the paintings were done for my kids who love large bright pictures of animals .. the ocelot is thier favorite it hangs in the living room .. my mates favorite is the nightmare i painted it for him

for christmas i got a intuos pad .. i had been at a delima on how i was going to get some of my drawings on here since i have no way of scaning them into my computer short of buying a scanner and .. i suck with a mouse so digital art wasnt' going to look pretty .. my avatar is an example of a mouse and photo shop .. ( my only try with photo shop ) it was so alien of a tool for a non geek i might game but i couldnt' tell you first thing abouot computers other then where the on switch was and how to load my games .. so i had given up any notion of digital art .. till my brother got me this pad .. which is really easy for me to minipulate like a regular drawing pad .. i am currenty trying out three diff programs .. corel painters sketchbook .. which i think is the most like a traditional art feel , however it has a bug in it being a free program it likes to shut down with no warning .. you loose whatever you are working on .. the second program is autosketch which seems great for marker sketchs but other then that seems very limited on what it will actualy do .. ( could just be my lack of experiance with it this was my first day messing with it ., my second on the corel program .. ) and the third is photoshop again though it is still so complicated that i feel belittled by it .. i hope to soon put out more then simple sketches and little paintings .. 8) for everyone to see 8)

the resolution on my pic is horriable .. i am not as good with computers as i would like to be .. i need to get the original pic out and take a better picture of it to get a better resolution ..
