You can pick a basic tripod up pretty cheap, but they're not too hardwearing. I got mine for about US$26, I hate tripods though and only use it when I really have to. I wouldn't want to use it in windy conditions or leave my camera alone while it's on it though, but it does the job.

Gah! Tripods! How I want one! But, Dark and Wiz, they are expensive! *dies* I wouldn't mind a digicam, either. I use a Canon Rebel GII. I like it, but I do need some more lenses. Now THOSE are expensive!

I've got a Rebel aswell, but i don't bother using it, since for every good picture I take there are 40 not so good ones, hehehe
my A80 is definetaly the best most expensive investment I've ever made

Well, maybe not THAT expensive, but when you're saving up for tuition, a new PC, and rent, then they're expensive. Tho', I don't know the exact prices. Maybe I should go look...
