That's when you read an excellent piece of literature, and it's so good that you can't write or draw about anything else that doesn't have to do with the book.Β Β Perhaps my Les Miserables fever will die down by July, in which case, yes I will enter!

Yes, indeed I did. I had expected a tragedy (Victor Hugo's other novel, "Notre Dame de Paris" is a tragedy), but instead I got one of the best-written redemption stories known to the literary world.
Β Β Still. . .even if it's not technically a tragedy, it felt like one because all the best characters died. Only Cosette and Marius, the two characters I didn't like, survived until the very end.Β

Β That's basically the overarching rule for artists, I've found. "Practice, and get better." I haven't found a case where that hasn't applied yet.
