that's just a slightly ambiguous question because i don't know if you're asking because of their appearance/design or because you don't know why i would have them closed SO.
Appearance/design wise I am very clear and open Everywhere I Post Them that I in no way own gator/crocodile/dog hybrids.Β
They're not even genuinely hybrids, they're monster dogs that I called gatordogs because it had a nice ring to it + matched my username everywhere. uvub I actually did the concept for it for my fursona, here:

really though, aside from the tails which have even changed over time, they bear no resemblance to gators at all. Gators don't have spikes, their teeth don't curve like this, gatordogs have no scales Anywhere. It's just a name that stuck and i am happy with.Β
people have really enjoyed them as a concept and embraced them, so i've enjoyed having them as a very loose and casual species.
re: why I keep them closed.
I like to have some oversight of how they're used honestly. I don't want gross people making gatordogs and using them for gross things, which may not be AS prevalent here, but it super! is! on furaffinity! where i actually had them well before bringing them here. so it just gives me some control of who they're going to, to a certain degree. and it makes sure that no one else is making them and selling them for profit when i've put a lot of time and energy into building them up to what they are. uvub

i LOVE dark cloud. it was the first real game i ever played, and i've always always loved it since.
I love a LOT of the monster designs in that game, tbh. the werewolves scared baby me. lmaoΒ
it's silly but the mimics hold the nearest and dearest spot in my heart because that was my first exposure to mimic boxes as a concept, and overall i like their toony but threatening design in it!
