If you don't mind me asking, what art programs do you use?

for drawing? photoshop elements. my bamboo tablet came with elements 10.0, but i recently upgraded to 14.0. in the past, i used a lot of paint.net (getpaint.net ) for editing, which was decent. besides that, i don't use anything else although i'm looking into using 3D models to help the workflow.

looking at your gallery, the first tip is trace stuff. a ton of it - print lineart very lightly and trace over it with pencil and pen. don't "straw draw", make every line a committed single stroke rather than a bunch of small straight ones. tracing helps you develop hand-eye coordination. once you've gotten good at that, practice still life. this helps you develop your sense of depth and space. afterwards, just find things that you enjoy and draw a ton of it - if you look early in my gallery, its studio ghibli stuff, and boy was i crappy at drawing it. my early RWBY 4komas also sucked, but the simple process of drawing a ton of them brought me here today.
