welcome!! u got a very good color skill. Do u begin with a color background? and do u use dodge tool for highlights?

oops - hit the 'submit' button before I finished writing there - d'oh! Anyway, I was about to say that I never use the dodge tool - all my toning is done on a separate layer with appropriate colours, with some effects acheived using various overlay-type layers.

Thanks again, man. And yes, I always start with a flat colour layer (known as the 'flats' layer in colouring circles - check out the flats-for-colorists [link] group if you'd like a better idea of what that involves)
