Aloha, I'm just visiting this page and after talking to :zenadorion: about MAYA texturing, he led me straight here, so that means you must be good.
Your modelling skills are nice, i haev a friend who model a gandum robo like yours :/ So you got any tips on UV texturing in MAYA? I'm modelling Cloud from Kingdom hearts and it needs a boost in texture.

Actually, Im on the middle of exploring the powerful features of Maya, and currently concentrating on animation. Regarding on UV Mapping, I usually create my UV map in Maya and import it in Photoshop. As an animator, I would likely create my texture based on the resolution of my final animation, e.g. if I have an 320by240 animation, I would create my textures on 320by240 or half the resolution, depending on how close the surface is from the camera.
