I did! I changed all of them before I went to hospital in the impulse of the moment, women before delivery really go crazy (Have I told you I got the brilliant idea at 7 months twin pregnancy that I must put extra decoration on the top of a hanging lamp while I could hardly walk?) My husband is making fun of me btw, because not only my passwords were forgotten, but I also forgot where I keep the different kitchenwares in my own kitchen...! I got home and I was pulling out everything to find a damn spoon.
I am looking forward to your owl!!!! Haven't seen the poor creature for a while

Exactly. And it was so sad that no one knew about it just because Tarsem had no money left for promoting this masterpiece

Yeah,i heard he payed with his own money for it!Amazing! Also i find it fascinating that they didn't use any digital effects, everything was natural, just how it was filmed1Now that what i call a true masterpiece!

Absolutely. I was amazed that even that huge white sheet was real. It is just amazing how they could capture the beauty of our world, showing that there was no need for CGI.

Ah,the huge sheet-don't have to tell me about it!Stunning scene!I also liked the wedding-very dreamy and artistic!
I first noticed Tarsem's work with The Cell.I don't know if you saw it,but it was the kind of movie that leaves you
I saw it after it was release and for me it's still one of the best movies out there.

miraxterrik In reply to hamesha [2011-04-27 18:50:06 +0000 UTC]
The wedding, i love the wedding! The whole mixing reality and dream together reaches its peak in the wedding scene. Absolutely breathtaking. And heart-wrenching, too, with the whole suicide plot line.
Yeah, sure i saw it. I wacthed it after The Fall, just because i wanted to see how is Tarsem's other work, and yeah, his fantasy was just perfect back there too. I still love the Fall much more, mostly because of the story, the interaction between the leads, but still find the Cell very stunning.

So sorry for the late reply...i was so busy these days.
The good thing about Tarsem's work is that it has a very distinct, easy to recognize style.I've seen it in all his movies. They all have that deep dream effect on the viewer, they steal you away from reality and they make you live the story. It's just too bad not many appreciate the creative genius that is Trasem.

You are right, he has a very unique style but i have to admit i have seen only 2 of his films. I remember hearing news from him making a Greek mythology piece but dont know if it was true or how the project goes. But it would really be good to see another of his films. Hope he wont lose his style.

god, yes that chapter was awesome. Jackson is so cold-hearted in your story, it's really getting me goosebumps
Is the story LxJ btw, because I saw that you've categorized it as a romance as well.
I'm looking forward to your next update, love ;*

miraxterrik In reply to IseeButterfly [2011-03-21 17:40:44 +0000 UTC]
really, you think he's cold.hearted? That'd be really cool because that's my continuous fear that he might appear too soft I need the contrast between what he is now and what he might become, even if a very subtle contrast.
Sure, it's gonna be a JxL, even if not in a fluffy-mushy-gushy way, and not overdone.
thanks, dear And i'm waiting for yours, you stopped at a very intriguing part
π: 0 β©: 1
IseeButterfly In reply to miraxterrik [2011-03-21 18:54:10 +0000 UTC]
yeah, JxL, I'm glad. Well, he is VERY coldhearted. Like a robot. Especially in the last chapter. God, he is soo bad. Hot! And he doesn't appear soft. Not at all.
But you know, I think a story, where the characters are on a journey in a way, is the most interesting (and realistic) way to write a Red Eye fanfic.
Sure there was chemistry between Jackson and Lisa in the movie, but to make them a couple, they have to improve their relationship and I think it needs a lot of time and developement for that.
And luckily you have the writing skills to send them on such a journey, for it is surely not an easy piece of work to write. I don't know if I had the patience for it, but you surely do and I love your story for it.
It's what makes a god author. NicolinaN, EmpireX they all develope their characters during their stories, without turning them into love sick puppies from the first minutes, because that would be plain boring. You of course also don't do that, because I honestly think that you're way to experienced (or so it seems at least) to overdo it.
So don't worry, you're a great writer, really really a great one, and I'm sure you'll know exactly what to do with those characters. (but just for the record: when the time is come, nobody minds a little smut.... just sayin... )
Love you and your work, honey. :*:*

I cant tell you how happy I was readin this message Honey, thank you so much for the nice words!
I was kind of worried that I, too, sent them off to a journey but I really couldnt come up with anothe rsituation where they would be locked together for a longer period, b/c yes, as you said properly, they need time to warm upt toward each other, and 2 days spent together just wouldnt do it believably.
(I know a hint when i meet it So the demand for smut is noted, and maybe there will be some Good God, actually that will/would be the first I've ever written, so i'm not sure if it will turn out good enough)
π: 0 β©: 1
IseeButterfly In reply to miraxterrik [2011-03-24 17:35:10 +0000 UTC]
Just try to write the sex scene like actual sex and not like a porn. 'cause that never turns out well.
But smut can have a plot, too. See EmpireX's Vide cor meum. (whatever that means)
Isn't he what? (excuse me, I'm dumb )

Oh yes, that one is excellent, such a great story and not a PWP at all! It means: "see/look at my heart". Isnt the title awesome for it, too? Just wow.

IseeButterfly In reply to miraxterrik [2011-03-26 22:18:39 +0000 UTC]
how do you know that?
Btw, AWESOME chapter! "Hit the road, Jack!" (funny, it was my favorite song when I was 11 )
god, that was a pretty good start with writing "sexy" things, I guess. And Jackson is soo mean. But I think he's starting to show some emotions. I like that. You've found the right balance and they're really developing something.
And I loved SO hard about the Spongebob thing. Lisa really is a little like him! How did you notice that? Where do those thing come from in your head? Amazing!

miraxterrik In reply to IseeButterfly [2011-03-28 10:16:41 +0000 UTC]
It's easy You can find similar words to the Latin ones in currently existing languages.
"vide" is something concerning "to see, to look", like in the ancient phrase: "veni, vidi, vici" which means "I come, see and conquer". Plus, the italian word for "to look" is "vedere" which is similar to the Latin form above.
"cor" is like cuore (italian) or coeur (french) words for "heart".
"meum" is obviously a possessive pronoun or what the hell it is called, like mein in german, my in english, mio/mia in italian and so on.
So I just put it together. But as far as I remember, EmpireX translated it there, though not quite similarly to mine
Lol, SpongeBob was a last minute addition, really. Originally they almost watched South Park, but then suddenly I remembered SpongeBob, and I was like, hey, he's totally Lisa XD I wanted something Rippner would be an assh*le about
I think all these things just come suddenly, out of nowhere. Maybe it helps that I'm thinking of it quite a lot, and there I mean a LOT, really. I travel like 2 hours/day, and it's kinda boring, so I entertain myself with coming up with different scenes, dialogues, and little things like what they would watch/wear/eat/see, etc. That's why I can write so long chapters in such short time.
Oh, sexy things has to come eventually It has to start with the physical way, becoming aware of the other: it is inevitable and natural that it would come sooner or later. Of course, it would come harder for Lisa, though, and easier for Rippner
(And that's a funny song, I like it too)

Yeah, well, actually I have latin in school since six years now, but it somehow never occured to me to translate it.
But, well, that chapter was aweeeesome! There are a lot of things I liked, for example the thing with the neck or Jackson's wet look's sexier phrase (damn, he's such a bastard, I love him)
God, I can't WAIT! And I think about Red Eye a lot, too, in school most of the time (when I should be studying and learning new things... ) but my writing skills aren't as experienced as yours. Not by far.
Oh and how do you know Spain? Because on your ff-site it says that Hungarian is your mother tongue (Now, if those are similar or the same, bear with me, I totally suck and geographics) but you wrote a few things in spain in the last chapter.
Which leads me to Giovanna, who was veeery funny, btw. Well, that's all about Giovanna actually.
And you said that you have to send them on a journel in your A.N and that you're sorry for that and I wonder why? I mean I love journey stories (and I really mean journey. Not emotionally, but really road trips, you know? ) as well as journey movies, the characters always seem to develope so clearly, like in no other story/movie/book.
So, when's gonna be your next update? I hope soon, because I am addicted to your story.
And I'm sooo happy that there'll be a sequel.
But may I ask, how old you are?Because your English is soo good and you play with the language so incredibely nice and self-confidently, that you just can't be in my age (I'm sixteen btw. yeeah, I know: I'm all puberty and that stuff ) Otherwise you would be god!
Love you :*:*

miraxterrik In reply to IseeButterfly [2011-03-29 11:10:54 +0000 UTC]
Not Spain but Italian Those lines were in Italian as were both Michele and Giovanna. Actually, I love Italy, I have travelled there many times and will do, too, because I just cant get enough of it, the land, the food, language, towns, sights, art, everything! I started to learn the language on my own, too, because I find it so beautiful that I felt I had to know it. Of course, learning on your own isnt too easy or effective
No, Hungarian is not similar to ANY languages (unfortunately XD). In fact, the closest is Finnish but we dont understand each other AT ALL.
My problem with the journey is that it is maybe a bit overdone by now, I mean, there are a lot of RE stories where they go on a journey, and maybe some find it a bit boring and not too original.
The next update is sadly on next Friday I update in every second week.
Oh God, you're so young *cries*, Unfortunately, I'm almost twice as much (29, to be precise). Inside though, I'm younger than you
I think my English improved a lot after reading tons of fanfictions (Harry Potter, X-men then Red Eye), then I started to write my own. Ugh, the first ones are horrible XD
But I have to tell you, your English is waaaay better than mine at your age, not kidding. I couldnt form a single sentence without spending long minutes with thinking
π: 0 β©: 1
IseeButterfly In reply to miraxterrik [2011-03-29 13:44:37 +0000 UTC]
I speak better English than I write, I guess. At least the people in England used to tell me, that I had barely any accent (It's because I always watch movies in English, I think)
Well, I never heard anyone speak Hulgarian, I will Youtube it, so I know how it sounds
I bet it sounds nicer than German, which is a shitty language in my opinion. A friend of mine from Portugal said that German sounds like Asian people trying to speak Spain! -.- What?
Yeah, well I think there aren't enough journey ffs, because it's quite my favorite genre (yes, journey IS a genre )
So, as long as the actual trip isn't described too detailed (which it isn't in your story ) I love road trip stories.
Well, I could NEVER learn a language on my own. I speak English (okay, I pretty much improved my skills all on my own thanks to movies and books, since our school English sucks) French and German (and can read and translate Latin, but it's not really my favorite occupation ) and a little bit of Chinese, but that's all the result of school lessons and the help of educated teachers.
I could never learn a language on my own.
Yeah, well, most people on ff.net are surprisingly much older than me. I think NicolinaN is much older than me, because she says that she has two children and a husband and is a doctor, and I guess EmpireX is over 18, too, because she isn't going to school anymore.
When speaking of next friday, do you mean 1th April?
Well, I can't assess your English skills 13 years ago, but now your English is pretty awesome. I hardly have to look up a word in English, but my grammar and comma placement isn't the best. (Especially my comma placement.)
I'm really looking forward to your next update, and now I have another reason to look forward to fridays. God, I really love Uprooted, the story is amazing, it's one of the few stories I read entirely (normally I skip paragraphs or even whole chapters, when I find the story not interesting enough)
But in your story I'm like sucking in every word
π: 0 β©: 1
miraxterrik In reply to IseeButterfly [2011-03-30 14:44:33 +0000 UTC]
LOL, actually I dont know how Hungarian sounds to strange ears I mean you simply get used to your own language, I find mine very-very rich and expressive but wouldnt tell how it sounds.
Wow, you learn so many languages? That's so cool! Even Chinese? Where the heck did it come?
In high school I learnt English and German, and on my own Italian and one time I started Greek b/c it's beautiful but terribly difficult. After Italian I'd like to start Spanish b/c it's nice too. The con in learning a language on your own is that you always find an excuse NOT to learn it. You know, I find myself saying: ooh, now I'm too tired/dont have time/my throat hurts, and all that jazz XD
Really?? Nicolina has 2 children? I know nothing about them. ALl I know that Punctuator isnt a teen either but I think anyone could tell it from the style she uses, she is wonderful.
Nah, when I say next Friday, I mean 8th April
π: 0 β©: 1
IseeButterfly In reply to miraxterrik [2011-03-30 17:08:50 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, well, I know like two words in Chinese, I went to a one week crash curse last sommer and I hardly remember anything.
Everything else I learn in school, German is my mother tongue (btw, why the hell did you want to learn it? It's terriblely difficult and doesn't even sound nice )
So, I looked up Hungarian and in one video it said that it's the most difficult language of the world. It's actually a very beautiful language, I saw a French-Hungarian video and now the language almost reminds me of French, although it sounds completely different.
It's a little odd to describe, because it sounds like the "R" gets rolled and stressed a lot in Hungarian and still it's a very fluent language.
Well then I googled Hungary and I'm a little ashamed, because before I was like: Hungary.. hmmm... where could that be, I don't think I ever heard about it!
And well, of course I did, it's called "Ungarn" in Germany and a few friends of mine have been there last summer, so... well... I blame my own stupidity.
Yeah, well I don't know about Nicolina's children either, but it says that she has two kids on her ff site.
Yeah, well, Punctuator is 46 as far as I know, she's on the Cillian Murphy Fan Forum ( and I thought, when I grow up my obsessions will end... )
Too bad, I was already looking forward to friday 1th April. But I'm sure you need the time, you're the fastest updater I've ever seen, considering the quality or your chapters.

miraxterrik In reply to IseeButterfly [2011-03-31 09:21:39 +0000 UTC]
Hehe, I will be honest to you, I did not want to learn German. When I went to the high school, they gave me a form to fill in what languages I wanted to learn. Well, I filled it in, I listed like 6 languages from French to Spanish, to Italian, even Russian, Latin and Greek, really, EVERYTHING but German b/c that was the only language I didn't want to learn. Well, what class did they put me in? Of course, in an English-German. You can imagine how pissed I was, and I dont have to explain I never had the slightest inclination to study it, and gotta say I dont remember too much of it. Of course, it'd be awesome if someone would just put the knowledge in my head in the night but learning it...
Yeah, it's Ungarn So you didnt realize we were like 2 countries far from each other? Which city you're living in?
You know, it's funny, when I was 13, I also thought the same that when I'd be grown up, my stupid childish obsession would be over and I'd be a serious responsible adult. Well, I'm not XD
π: 0 β©: 1
IseeButterfly In reply to miraxterrik [2011-03-31 15:24:10 +0000 UTC]
Well, I'm not mad at you, because I wouldn't learn German if I were a foreigner, too, simply because it's not a very beautiful language and it's awfully complicated. I don't know how long you learned it, but if you got most of the grammar you will see that German is 50% rule and 50% exception. -.- And that's pretty annoying even for a native.
Well, yeah, Hungary (or Ungarn). Actually when we were talking about our summer vacation, we did consider travelling to Ungarn, but decided against it, because my cousins want to come with us and they've been there twice already. But maybe next year, I can get really passionate when it comes to journeys, once a country has attracted my attention (and it doesn't need a lot for that, a mention in one of my favorite movies, or books, or being the home country of one of my fav. stars)
I didn't realize that we're only 2 countries apart, because I suck at geographics (well, I never really learned it, to be honest, in school we were only talking about trees and I dropped it as soon as I could, but it's still embarrassing how little I know about the world
I'm living in Essen, which is pretty close to Cologne (or KΓΆln, which is the German name of the city) and DΓΌsseldorf. Essen was the "European Capital of Culture" in 2010 and I think it still.
Actually I think it's one of the biggest city of Germany, I'm not sure the forth or fifth biggest city or something. The city center is quite beautiful.
In which city are you living in? Or aren't you living in Hungary anymore? (Because it says you live in the USA on ff. If so, where do you life in the USA, surprisingly I know a little about the states of America )

miraxterrik In reply to IseeButterfly [2011-04-01 12:26:23 +0000 UTC]
I've learnt German for 4 years, and now I know about 4 words XD Okay, just kidding but yeah, I saw it was all grammar, yuck. That's why English is much easier than any other sibling-languages b/c most of the grammar had died out. Hurray. Believe me, Greek looked even more horrible from grammar pov
LOL, I like checking the map, and always thought knowing at least your own continent is a must. So I'm pretty good in Europe, not that bad about the American continent (north-south), somewhat worse if it comes to Asia, and horrible about Africa which I find a shame why I cannot remember even the countries there, let alone the capital cities...
In that area I have only been in Bonn like 10 years ago, and never made it to KΓΆln which is a shame Other than that, I have only seen Berlin so far.
I live in Budapest which is the capital of Hungary (and they say it it's nice. I agree in case of the view around the river Danube -or Donau, if you like). I dont know why FFN lists my home country the US, I think it is because of the server we use at work (usually I take care of my FFN profile from work, haha), and it puts it there automatically. Sometimes it lists it as Hungary, though. Very strange.

Yeah, I know that Budapest is the capital of Hungary, my geographical knownledge is enough for that! But yeah, I've never been to Hungary before, but since I want to visit as much countries as possible, I'll definetely add it to my list. I heard it must be beautiful!
