FINE! I'll give you my super secret method.
I just click that little thing that says "+ Add Media" when I'm leaving a comment and then type in whatever's moseying through my mind and it compiles all sorts of emotes for me to gander though. It's turned me into a very lazy emote scavenger.
Β
I love how so many people haven't noticed that option. It makes me feel sneaky and advanced. Β

Right? But beware....sometimes you think you're looking for something fairly innocent and then BAM, it comes up with stuff our dear Jessie might think up.

Oh and have you read any of Mary Oliver's writing? Something tells me you might like her. She writes about nature and people mostly. I read this one last night and thought it seemed right up your alley:
Alex
Where is Alex, keeper of horses?
Nobody knows.
He lived all year in the broken barn,
Dry summer stashed above the eaves,
Now that heβs gone, who grieves, who can,
For Alex of the tangled beard?
The soiled old man,
He chased my brother once,
Waving a rusty gun,
And he had hungry eyes
For money and the bottle.
Last week the town officials
Came in their gleaming trucks
And tore his old barn down,
And the last horse was sold,
And he wasn't anywhere.
Well, maybe heβs in the madhouse,
And maybe heβs sleeping it off
Down at the edge of town
Sprawled in a weedy bed,
Dreaming of horses and leather.
And maybe, with luck, heβs dead.

I know this one by Mary Oliver. It's one of my heart poems:

I should read more of her. She does seem like our kind of folk.

Oh yes, that is a very good poem. I had heard of her and at random found one of her "new and selected poems" books at a used book store a few weeks ago. I really like her.

I think about him surprisingly often, every time I drive that way, even though he was long gone before I moved here. Must be awful to be driven from a home you love.

FuzzyHoser In reply to riparii [2013-11-12 22:28:59 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I can imagine that feeling in a way. I mean, obviously not to that degree, but I can remember being really anchored down to where I grew up and it hurt my feelings so bad when we moved. And that's just little kid attachment - has to be so much worse for someone that's made the place everything it is.

I love when cows come to the fence and start following me. The horses don't necessarily love it. But I do.

Only because the little birdie won't work for free! No need to take undue advantage.
But still. It's a very nice thank you, so.
That poem wanted to be said aloud. I'm glad you liked it.
