Couple of things:
First: Stop thanking me for adding you to my deviantwatch or faving your stuff. It makes me feel weird. I know it is polite, but still.
Second: Sorry to quite a few of you, but do to lack of space, I will be skipping quite a bit of artwork.
Third: Bye to if is truly leaving. Please help me stop

see, you're not that bad! just a little more practice and you be right up there with me! I've both seen better and MUCH worse than your art, so you're right at about the same place as most artists. Keep up the work!

Oooh... um, I have quite a few suggestions.
(BTW, I am from Gaia, and I saw your post about how you wanted feedback, or something? o_o)
First off, you NEED to expand your horizons to something other than anime/manga. Mimicing this style will not help you improve at all unless you are good to begin with. You have to study realism, and then you'll get good. Honestly, if I were you; I'd learn and experiment and do everything with any medium I could think to do and get good at it before attempting to create a comic book. You can't call yourself an artist without experimenting, afterall.
I think that for someone who is at a level you are, you should be able to catch up to doing realistic stuff pretty easily. It will however, take practice, no doubt about that. I think you should practice sketching people's photos from the stock photo area of DA and then see how good you are. DON'T make them anime style; make them realistic. Capture their feeling, if you can. And even exagerrate proportions, if need be. This always helps.
Hmm.. how about I take you under my wing? *winky wink* I can probably give you online instructions/class thingy. So how about it? If you want to, I think you should try doing this as your first assignment. ^_^

I visited your gallery, very nice, rubeuswagner.
tatrizi, what she said is quite right. My 8 years of drawing lessons weren't related to anime/mangรก. You have to try everything. Studying realism is quite good to improve. If you visit part of my gallery, there are 3 or 5 drawings that are realistic.
I tell you that because most people I know who want to draw anime mangรก go straight away to the subject, not interested in learning the basics, such as composition, use of colors, harmony, shading, light/shadow effect, etc. And those people tend to be an "ok artist", but nothing that would really call my attention.
However, starting already with portrait isn't good. Try animals first, or, if you aren't self-assured, try still-life as well. I know it's boring, but it's a good start. Then start practicing just face, which is one of the main parts of the body. After that, practice hands, feet, arm, legs and only then try full body pictures.
After that, if you really want to learn how to make backgrounds, I'm afraid you will have to first practise landscape and perspective. Don't use mangรก/comics reference for first try, try realistic landscape.
That's what I think it's a good way to improve... I am currently on the landscape part, I need to practise more this. Hope those tips help you ^_^. And don't worry about material, a fine pencil and an eraser are the only things you really need.

I believe me, I am completely aware of all that. I'm just bad with my words, and bad at instructing. ^^'
But I suggested starting with the study of faces and people, since that obvioulsy seems to be her main theme, and it can often help people. And indeed, still lifes and figure drawing are essential. I go to a nude drawing session every Monday... I should upload some of those. It's actually not boring at all... it's very fun. And still lifes can be interesting to draw, if they themselves are. A fine pencil and eraser are great for beginning materials, if what you plan to do is focus your medium concentration in graphite. (Which is what I am sort of focusing on right now.) But if you want to expand... you'll really need a lot more than that. Like... a good palette of watercolors, or an ebony pencil (I hate 'em, but they get damn good value...) and so on. It really just depends on your focus. And thankyou for the comment on the gallery, I really appreciate it. ^_^
I'm in a but of a hurry, so I'll be off. And thanks!

I know , but part of those tips were for tatrizi, and for what I saw at all, it's good to practice animals and still life first, otherwise it will be quite hard to be used with the study of faces.
Nude drawings is quite interesting, I had already done that. I finished my drawing lessons, but part of my landscape lessons was skipped (teacher said I didn't need it at all, plus I had to finish the course before the middle of the last year, because I wouldn't have time anymore to attend classes).
And yes, using other medias is always better! I love watercolour. I work with several materials:
Pastel
Charcoal
Pencil
Watercolor
Acrylic
Tempera
Ink (nankin)
Crayons
Watercolorable pencils
I think I forgot some, I painted once an oil picture, but I hated the smell of the paint. Hey, tatrizi, as far as I know charcoal isn't expensive (at least here in Brazil), you could try it once.

Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?
What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.
You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
I offer only the truth, nothing more.
Take: The Red Pill
Take: The Blue Pill
spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
I know. That's why it's going to work.
