But it can only be done with 1 pokemon, yours is any flying pokemon. So theirs pros and cons to both.

Hey man, how's it going, I just saw an art piece that gave me an idea. You're still doing that thing where when you use fly it's like surfing but in the air above the clouds and everything, right? I think it would be cool to have there be horde battles with flying pokemon, since most birds fly in a flock. That and other trainers flying in the air, and wanting to challenge you to a sky battle would be cool.

Well, I'd prefer not to have horde battles, as I haven't implented the mechanics for it, and I want the sky to be leisurely to travel, so it's actually preferable to walking where you want.
As for Trainers in the sky, they will exist.
The game is on hold right now though. I'm moving this autumn and I'm currently working.
I'll continue working this winter or spring again.

What I feared the most may be a reality...entirely custom backsprites, Gen4 style, all pokemon+forms x.x

I'm only releasing the things that don't exist that people need, like Gen4 style unova backs, and gen 6 animated icons, everything else will be exclusively mine.
I already finished changing every front sprite to the best looking ones so that's a plus.
That feeling of accomplishment though, and the beauty...It'll be magnificent.
