There is that watch button on the top right of every deviant's page. Click that to keep track of your friends, and the artist you love to watch. 

 Join groups to get more views on your works.   would be a nice start. This does not mean you're unwanted, it just means you're unseen. Or maybe   or

you can make collectios of individual thigns if you'd like and start a collection.

 Points are given on deviantart the same with llamas- which are free.
But then again points are not free, they cost money but you can get them for free by visiting
