I'm taking it the closest camera-fixer (which is a couple hours away.) once the roads are better.

That's what took me so long to respond,we've had a really bad winter, so I've been working constantly.
There has been countless car wrecks, the warmest it's been since October is like 38 degrees.
It's been insane. Everywhere is covered in snow and ice. It take me 40 minutes to get to work(compared to the usual 15).


I will never tell! World domination is more fun when you have someone to cackle maniacally with.

Honestly, I just dressed up like a ghoul, shorted their electricity, and set up some sneakily place, oversized fans.

The hospital's been consistently full since November and the management is only now hiring so the current staff can have a bit of time off.
(They call us on our days off when it's busy, so there are quite a few of us (the ones who will come in) that work about 6 days a week.)

I've gone crazy already so it's okay.

I worked Valentine's Day, so I got plenty of offers from delirious old men. Does that count? hahaha
Did you throw up from eating to much chocolate the day after because of the sales? That's pretty much the extent of my celebration every year.

I want to travel pretty much everywhere. (That's the only reason for my job. )
I can't wait til we rule it all.

It's a distant and fuzzy memory, much like the majority of my life.
Onska sounds like a frumpy Bulgarian housewife. So not so much. It just confuses people, mostly.

It might calm down someday. We'll see.
Mostly I run around all night but I do quite a bit of paperwork, unfortunately, because I'm nice and sometimes help the nurses. You have to document EVERYTHING in case of malpractice suits.

Still it's super interesting, we've had a bunch of interesting cases lately.

One guy with mental deficiencies thought I was an angel sent to accompany him to heaven, the weird thing was he really believed it and started crying and hugging me. It was kinda sad. :\

Did you hear there aren't any looters? That's amazing, Japan's so cool; how many places wouldn't have looters?
It's so sad, I have a few friends there and one of my coworker's son is there (they're alright), just imagine if it happened to a place that wasn't prepared, they think a huge earthquake is going to happen anywhere from now to 300 years from now in the pacific northwest (Portland) and they aren't very ready.
Have you heard of the cholera epidemic in Haiti? It's terrible, so many people are still dying there too.

Malpractice suits happen all the time, actual malpractice only occasionally. My father used to deliver babies, and someone sued him because he didn't force her to stop smoking. He won but court bills are still expensive.

I've only witnessed 2 serious mistakes and I've been working here for over 3 years. Luckily, the were resolved successfully.

One time we had a patient with a chest tube (just in case you don't know, a chest tube is for draining fluid(in this case, blood) out of the lungs)
and the nurse didn't check to see if it was working, in the morning one of the other aides and I went in there and noticed it wasn't bubbling (you can tell it's working by the way the machine canister bubbles), it hadn't even been installed correctly (so it hadn't been working for a day and a half).
He was okay, as most of the fluid had already been drained already and he was mostly healed anyway, but he could have gotten any number of complications.

Don't let that scare you off, we're mostly competent. Mistakes don't happen often enough for it to be better to not go.

It did make him happy, which reminds me why I like my job.
We had another lady who was asking the phone if he was hungry, I told he was sleeping and she picked up the phone looked at the number pad, said "Oh, you're right!'
put it back down and went back to bed.

The Japanese are the politest people in the world, I swear. There have been so many disasters lately, my mom thinks the world must be ending soon. It's almost like a midlife crisis for, only more of an apocalypse crisis.

Most places aren't ready for an earthquake, Japan's death toll was much lower than it could've been because they've been preparing for years.
I think the media and in turn the people forget about the last big thing as something else happens. Plus with all the earthquakes and floods and rebellions and wars, I think most people it just becomes a passing blur.
