I can understand that. I hate it when people joke about or don't know the seriousness of stuff like that.
I mean, that comment was like something I said when I was eight- I didn't understand the seriousness of the threat and used that on my mom, who became very angry with me and told me that is not something to throw around.
As someone who has been SERIOUS about suicide for a few years in her life (though not now, I'm over it, thankfully) it really makes me feel... I dunno, proud? to know that there are some people who won't stand for suicide being joked about (or not quite understood). <3 That really did make my day.

Hong Kong and China are taking you guys out to eat frog legs. You guys agreed (without knowing) and now a plate of frog legs are in front of you. Hong Kong and China are starting to eat it and they look like they think it's delicious. You would refuse, but it's Chinese etiquette to try a small portion of everything served to you. You guys each have an option from this list and you can repeat it:
1-Eat it anyway. It's not gonna kill you. Comment on the taste (in your mind or out loud)
2-Refuse politely even if it means offending Hong Kong and China.
3-Eat it, excuse yourself, run to the toilet and puke it all out.
Oh, and you're NOT allowed to run away.
