Hi there, I'm working on some Twilight Princess related content with the Source Engine, I was wondering if you knew the location of Link's cutscene animations, or if you had some kind of list detailing what the contents of the various .arc files are. You seem to be the foremost expert at this time regarding TP asset extraction so I really couldn't think of anyone better to ask. Thanks in advance, love the work you are doing with your fan project.

Almost all cutscene animations are stored in res/Object/Demo*.arc. Look for bck files, they are bone animations. Sometimes you'll find blk files, it's something like vertex anims (usually for Midna's face), but I have no idea how to extract them. No one knows.
There are no a list of files, I've just gave them better names and put inside folders. But there are still some things I can't find.
Source Engine? Do you mean Garry's Mod?

Yeah I was looking through there, specifically I'm trying to find Link's animations during the Master Sword custscene, but inside the demo file I only was able to locate Midna's. I was wondering, was there maybe another place Link's cutscene animations would be stored? They aren't included with his playermodel animations. You were able to port the animations from the Twilight Mirror sequence correct? Were Link's animations inside the demo file for the cutscene?
For the Source Engine applications, I'm just trying to rebuild the scene in Source Filmmaker, similar to what you did with your UDK cutscene recreation.
Edit: Actually, I think I may be wrong, the animations are there I think, but how do I get the Max plugin to convert the bck folder? Importing a file from the bmdv folder will allow you to save the corresponding animations correct? From what I've seen in this demo file only Midna's files are available to import from the bmdv folder, no sign of Link.

This cutscene is in Demo22*.arc. There are no duplicated Link and Wolf Link models, so just copy them from Kmdl and Wmdl. Put them inside bmdr folder for example. Then import them with MaxBMD and it will convert suitable animations from bck folder.

Ahhhh I see, that's what I was missing, I didn't think to copy over the files from the other locations. It's working out fine now, thank you so much!
By the way, I saw you guys were remaking some of the equipment for Twilight Legends, I have a remade Master Sword I did for my project, if you would like to use it I can send it to you. I also have some cleaned up textures of Link with moderately better resolution if you're interested.
It's not much but if you think it's something you could utilize I would be happy to let you use it.
Here's a pic of the sword: i.imgur.com/eOyoadR.png
If not though no worries, thanks again for helping me with my question.

Woah, it is awesome! I would be happy to get it, of course
Our modeller left the team 10 months ago. I've redone few models, like barrels, compass, key, but not their textures. That's too hard for me.

So have you written out the basic storyline for TL yet? Posted it anywhere?
My friend and I wanted to learn how to use Unity3D, so we were gonna make a sequel to TP, and I saw you made one. We'll probably still go through with it, seeing as we'll probably never finish ours anyway, and it's more for the learning experience. However, I wanted to ask where you got your link model from. I've been looking in the TP files but can't find it. Any help? c:

Most of the storyline and ideas are hidden from public, but you'll find some on WantMidnaBack forums.
All models you see were found in TP resources. Check Kmdl.arc and AlAnm.arc in res/Object. Also, Bmdl.arc, Zmdl.arc, Mmdl.arc and Wmdl.arc may be helpful. Answered this question like 10th time.

ahah, thanks man. Did I miss an FAQ or something?
But yeah, I'm actually looking forward to your game, I'm just hoping that it fits in tightly to the existing canon Zelda Lore. Would love to see it when it's done!

Eeyup. The FAQ is on project website. Didn't updated it for a long time, though.
We are doing all what's possible to make a plot that fits to original story and doesn't conflicts with anything. Yes, yes, I'm looking at you, Hyrule Warriors!Β Β

Sounds cool man. One other question to do with importing models/anims though. The wolf link file for example doesn't seem to have any animations in it. Where should I be looking for the animations? Is there another file in Objects which just contains the animations?
EDIT: There was. I found it. Nevermind. I just need to work out how to set up the whole hat and face with the body mesh. I'm sure it won't be THAAT bad.
