Thanks for the reply. I'm glad someone still remembers this username that once used to represent me. Out of all the members on DA, your story and your gallery of work is the one I love the most. I think you were and still are a truly inspiring and influential member of this community.

Mmmm....y'allo. I noticed your comment on a DevFriend of mine's page. It was a fairly brutal deconstruction of her poetry. Care to reprise that brutality at my page? I'm primarilly a prose-writer, and my poetry is absolutely appalling. Just stear clear of 'Tyrant, Sonnet, Death of Angel, and Parallel Personality', because I posted them for the sake of it and have no intention of improving them.

Anyway, anything you leave will be much appreciated, and returned in like. ^_^

BamseIsUnix In reply to demonlight [2004-11-03 13:47:19 +0000 UTC]

When did I give that comment? I haven't commented on poetry or prose for ages (as far as I remember). I've recently learnt that I'm not very good a poetry reader but I seem to have strong opinions about things every now and then...
For constructive criticism, there are art groups who do that. You propably already now groups like *onewordatatime and such.

demonlight In reply to BamseIsUnix [2004-11-03 19:57:32 +0000 UTC]

Oh, it was a very old comment. I just stumbled on to it. Being opinionated is fine - as long as you don't disagree with me.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BamseIsUnix In reply to demonlight [2004-11-04 06:25:15 +0000 UTC]

I just hate being brutal toward anyone -- one of the reasons I don't comment on poetry here. The standard here isn't quite high. Some people, though, aren't afraid of giving blunt and honest critique: [link]

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

demonlight In reply to BamseIsUnix [2004-11-04 06:37:01 +0000 UTC]

Well; if I were to give you Godses Honest (haha) truth, then I would admit that it doesn't really matter what people say about my poetry, because it isn't exactly my favourite medium. Hence my wallowing in absolute cheese. But Bloody Hell, I originally thought that 'criitique' was harsh, until I saw some of her stuff, and the quality of the other comments. Ugh.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

demonlight In reply to demonlight [2004-11-05 20:29:59 +0000 UTC]

Let's see. It wasn't so much harsh as comprehensive. It may take me a while though... I've just cleaned up my friends list, removed the idiots I started watching when I joined, watched all of my watchers as an act of courtesy, filtered through my clubs and checked whether everyone is worthy artistically or personality-wise. They might not have escaped the cull...

No it's not. Rovaniemi is small, we've got only about 35 000 inhabitants here. The highest buildings here have 4-5 stories in them. But relatively it isn't *that* small since it's the biggest town in Northern Finland.

That book you are reading What is Art. How can you agree that there is bad art and good art? If somebody makes something and they like it it's good to them. People make art good because they follow others also. It doesn't mean that artist is any worse or better than another artist. Why are some poeple only one way thinkers like the author of this book. I hold no art higher or lower than mine and I am not better or worse than anyone in art or life.

I adore Vermeer, but Miss Griet is kind of my themed representative online. The Music Lesson has quite the story behind it, as well.

And in response to your question, according to my page:

I did three different iq tests.

The first one was in English and many of the questions were based on English vocabulary, so the result: 112

The second test was a geometric one: 146

The third one was called "the European IQ Test": 162

Interesting.

Mysterious. I don't visit your page *that* often. I didn't know deviantART has these kinds of wonderful spyware features.

You're on my devwatch after all, so I guess it isn't that big a crime if I visit every now and then. I guess it's my browsing habits and the fact that I use a browser which has tabs. More efficient that way. So I just CTRL+click, CTRL+click until I have the user pages of everyone I know, opened in tabs, without stress. I wouldn't visit even half of the pages I do now if I could use only one browser window/instance. I've also been reading your poems lately, and browsing your favourites. But that's the way DA works, right?

So I'm blaming Firefox and it's effectiveness.

Thanks . That's a green snake on her shoe .

I thought Santa lived in northern Greenland . I saw him last year on MSNBC complaining about the Danish tax rate . Apparently, there is a "glacier tax" . Go figure

BamseIsUnix In reply to kolaboy [2004-09-08 16:23:01 +0000 UTC]

Heh
So it had nothing to do with the half-hand etc.

Actually, Santa lives wherever you want him to live. Greenland, North pole, Sweden, Norway, Rovaniemi... it's just that Lapland lives off tourism so it's better for me to say that Santa lives here (and nowhere else).

hello Lapland *salutes*

i'm in canada now and i've had very (trust me, very) heated discussions with canadians over whether santa lives in the north pole or lapland. huh.

what a twist in the plot that comment u made

about the content of your original comment though, don't sweat over it, it's just the way this world works i'm too naive to accept how things are but it's easy for me to keep saying that to others. u know what i mean?
