I noticed that submitting works into groups which take longer than 4-5 days is completely useless considering the dynamic of the publishing. After this time nobody looks at the work anymore in my experience. Have to look out for active groups, this is where the active users are!

Out of the 12 admin who 'run' this group, only 2 are in anyway active. Most haven't been active for over a year, and in some cases over 4 years. Someone needs to take control and bring this group back from the Dead.

I left the group. The founder hasn't been here for over two years, and she holds the reins to move the group forward. So in that stance, the group is dead.

The problem is that only the founder has permission to add new admins and they haven't been online for years (and DA refuse to transfer us the founder's rights). So only one or two of us try to do our best to accept submissions but we have moved on with our lives and have busy jobs so can't keep up and do it regularly. In my case I spend several months each year studying birds on remote islands without access to Internet so there is no way I can be here regularly (have just been away for two months, hence the backlog).
The only solution I see to this is someone starting a new Birds-Club group from scratch and closing this one down.

I have, to no avail. I have asked them several times to transfer the permissions to me, but they don't want to unless the founder (which has been awol for years) gives them permission...

Can you change the permissions on the folders to automatically accept. Or has the founder locked that up too? You can then just go through when you have time and delete any that you don't think should be in the gallery.

I can't unfortunately, I don't have the permission to change the permission system - the founder has all the permissions... I was away for 2 weeks and just gone through a backlog of submissions, sorry for the delay and for those which expired before I could accept them.

My submission has expired. If your admin are so lazy get rid of them, and get new ones who would do a far better job. Out of the 13 admin listed, how many are active? Those not active, boot them out.
