I'm working at a translation agency as a Junior translator

oooooh coool! that sound very interesting. who do you translate for? do they send you out to places to translate for people? i was never much of a morning person, but lately i've been being better about making myself go to bed at a resonable hour and getting up early. i actually kinda enjoy getting up early now. hopefully you get used to it... and OMG the crappy keyboard sounds like every place i've ever worked!! the equipment they give you is always worn out and needs fixed LOL well, good luck and i hope it keeps going well for you!!

Ooooh no no no, my job is basically sitting at a computer all day and translating plaintiffs and complaints and declarations and technical manuals and stuff into either Spanish or English. So far I've mostly gotten reverse translations (from Spanish to English).
The job you're talking about, being sent out to places to translate for people, is called interpreting, and it's what I aim to do some day when I graduate. As in, I want to become an interpreter.
I've never liked getting up early, but I'll get used to it, mainly because I get up at the same time as I used to get up to go to Uni hahaha.
And I swear, that keyboard is a downright NIGHTMARE. Sometimes the keys don't press down, and then the spacebar gets stuck so you get a zillion spaces until it unsticks, and some keys are really sensitive and argggg. I hope they give me a new one xDDDD

Interpreting should be awesome. And the thing is, I don't really know. This year I had to stop going to uni because the fee went up to $1750 and we just couldn't afford it anymore, which is exactly why I got a fulltime job as a translator. My mom doesn't want me to switch universities, but my uni doesn't have a night shift so I'm pretty much screwed unless I convince mom to let me switch elsewhere. I'll see xDD
On another note, THEY GAVE ME A PROPER KEYBOARD YESSS. They fired the guy who started at the same time as me and so I got his keyboard which is actually decent haha xDD
