Well for modern animals i highly suggest CollectA. But Papo is superior when it comes to big cats and crocodiles. (CollectA pretty much rocks everything else)
Both are also pretty good for dinosaurs, With CollectA Having great prehistoric mammals.
Safari LTD has a few nice figures too, but you'll have to pick and choose the best of them.

The Rebor figures aren't really any larger than Papo but they do cost more.

Higher quality is questionable.
Rebor sometimes has problems with warped models resulting in bent limbs
that might cause problems standing.

I would also suggest looking up the Carnegie dinosaur collection By Safari.
these went out of production a year ago and will soon be hard to find.
