Thanks. It fit in more with the names I use on other art sites. I figured it was about time I showed a little consistency.

Would you consider doing a comission of some Cats art?

CatAstropheBoxes In reply to etcetera92 [2012-03-09 04:23:59 +0000 UTC]
Of course! If you'd like to PM me with what you want we can discuss price, postage etc. (I'm told I'm ridiculously cheap compared to most artists, so I'd likely accept any offer you came up with lol)

I'm afraid at this point no more links exist to give - pretty much all of my stories have passed on to the Great Beyond. There may still be a few Cats stories under Fearful Little Thing on ff.net, but that's it.

I wanted to know if you could draw a pinup (like Etcetera's) of my Jellicle character Hullabaloo.
She's a very playful, energetic, sweet cat. [link] and [link] are pics of her.
I didn't draw the second one, though. It was a gift. <3

I Challenge You! (in all freindliness, of course.)
The CATS SEQUEL POEM CHALLENGE!!!
THE GOAL: write a poem sort of to the tune of Mr Eliot about a CAT, make it catchy, make it
sad, make it funny, but make it memorable!
The Dream Goal! to get a collection of great Eliot-esque poems together with the same great essence of the first book to become a legitimate sequel. Think about it, if enough cat fans harped worldwide, we could get it done. AWL made a Phantom sequel after all...its all a matter of heckling...anyway
THE RULES!
1. Poem must have good meter and Rhyme, NO FREESTYLE (it does not translate well into song.)
2. Can be a meter spoof of another poem (Because eliot did this to Kipling with 'Skimbleshanks')or use partial, common melodies from songs. Perferably commen Musical riff, or recycled Cats music (like how both Mr. Mistoffelees and Jenny have Journey bits in there songs)
3. Must be atleast tw verses long, but no more than five, unless it changes tempo mid song, like Growltiger, or Pekes and Pollicles
4. Can be writen about O.C.s or canon cats.
5. Must be written in the second person, i.e. he/she/they, as this is how eliot wrote.
6. Sonnets and Lymric styles are accebtible, but it all depends on lenght and singability
7. must be on one of the following types of cats:
Dance Hall cat- good at what she does and knows it
Fraidy Cat- skittish but not unfreindly
fighter cat-wild, forced, desperate
Kittens of the Jellicle tribe-Fun, silly
Barn Cat- useful wild, rude
General of the military cat-proud, all business
Mystical cats- aloof but useful and appreciated
Protector cat-well loved, strong
Shelter cat- battered, scared pitied
Library cat- patient, popular, slightly crazy
Ship's cat-brave, adventuraous, freindly
The initiation of cats- something difficlut and rare
If you have any other cat/persoality ideas, please give a bit of back story on them before starting the poem.
other than all that, HAVE FUN!!!

oh, come now dear, i'v seen a near 300 pound girl got up as he Tugger, and i'm not exactly Veerle Casteleen either. steal some of Macavity's confidence.
But if not, that's okay, i more than understand the whole body image thing. ah well

If I were going to dress up as any cat it would be Griddlebone... But while that costume is theoretically easy to do, it's the white corset that would bite me. I'd want it to be a real one, to help define my waist. o.o
π: 0 β©: 2
Vivli In reply to CatAstropheBoxes [2010-08-07 18:56:32 +0000 UTC]
Griddlebone would be my choice, too! Two reasons: she isn't just in a colored unitard (so revealing, wow), and her fluff is awesome. I'd feel like a princess with all that fluff everywhere. I might have to make a Griddlebone costume. Not for this challenge, but in general, because her design rocks. And it would be exciting to wear a corset, as long as I didn't tie myself up too tightly.

CatAstropheBoxes In reply to Vivli [2010-08-08 23:59:58 +0000 UTC]
Use a plastic-boned corset - they're pretty cheap, come in all sorts of colours and you can get them through eBay. The plastic boning means you can put yourself in pretty tight but not nearly as tight as steel boned corsets, so there's less risk of accidentally turning yourself blue in the face. ^_^
