Kaleos are a closed species created byΒ Comet-Draws , and this is the first FTO event we are running to allow people to receive one for free and have an adventure that gets them into the world of Kanu in the process.Β We've been working really hard so we can make the event thrilling and memorable.Β Here is a reference and info on the Kaleo species, showcasing a standard, common trait Kaleo, though there are many other common and rarer traits and variations as well with many different rarities you could get through the process of the random generation.

If you choose to sign up, you will be given a Fledgeling (adolescent) Kaleo that I will livestream or record for you (whichever you prefer!) to show you the process. it uses a random number generator to create traits, which can be anything from common to all the Ultra Rare traits and mutations that normally cost quite a bit of money. This is to encourage diversity and to make the species population feel like it has genetic variation and distribution in it that imitates real species' populations.Β
Once you have your Fledgeling's traits, you can design your Kaleo however you want: color, gender, size, personality, everything is up to you! The trials are dangerous and exciting adventures that all Fledgeling Kaleo set out on when they are on the verge of adulthood, and those who complete the journey and survive find new things about themselves and grow into fully accepted official adults in theΒ Kaleo-Junction Β group that you can keep as an official character and use however you want in the group!
There are four different journeys your Fledgeling can choose to set out on; East, the trial of Wind and storms in the towering trees. South, the Trial of Fire and vast plains full of lumbering beasts. West, the trial of gathering Waters and of the restless and deep Western Sea. And last, North, the Trial of Earth and blizzarding Mountains, and of cold. Whichever direction your Kaleo chooses will offer drastically different challenges on the journey to survive, and will challenge your fledgeling's ingenuity, intelligence, perseverance, strength, and will. Whatever their strengths and weaknesses are, they will all be tested to the fullest during their trials.Β

Spirit Trial #1: 20 FTO Slots (BEGINS JUNE 1st)TRIALS START JUNE 1ST

Only newcomers (people without a Kaleo) can claim a slot and will have one month after claiming to complete the trials. If you do not complete the trials in that time frame, the slot is no longer valid. If you have family issues, sports, or other activities that prevent you from completing the trials on time, our trial master Casma will sort things out (message either Sokolva, MetaphysicalMonsters or Comet-Draws). We will generate a Fledgling Kaleo for each participant in the slot using the Kaleo randomizer. Thus, the Kaleo will be assigned random traits to ensure diversity, while the owner can choose any other aspect of design they wish within guidelines, such as color, size, gender, name, personality, etc. If the owner wants to purchase traits with a higher rarity, they can do this at any time using the potions.
