Hi ! I see a lot of people drawing some really beautiful rendition of celebritys or of caracters, from stills from the tv-shows or movies maybe ? I'm trying to get better but i never seem to find good quality pictures(they are really small most of the time) or nice poses (I can only seem to find the 'glamour shots or other stiff pictures) to use as reference...
Your drawings are so good,expressive and precises, I was wondering if you have any tips on how to find good references, for fan art ? Clearly you know where to find reel pictures from the show

Hello there! I know exactly what you mean. I used to draw more promo photos, since they're so glossy & perfect & it's relatively easy to find high quality images. For those reasons using screencaps is more complicated. I tend to use my own, captured from high quality video files using VLC media player.
Whenever I try to look for screencaps online, they're either too small to use, or they're just the wrong frames. When I do it myself I can compare every frame for small differences & pick one that's exactly the way I want it. It sounds like a lot of work, but turns out to be no more work than scouring the internet for perfect images.
