thanks for your comment..since i took that photo the other cat who was it's brother, has died..
i'm trying to get back taking more photos, but as i'm now a carer to my mother since my father passed away...it's just having the time.

hi...
i wanted to ask you something...
i doing a project on 3d's max and i want to make a fairytale forest...i've made grass with hair and fur modifier and the result even though it was awesome it was a bit heavy to render...
do you know any other economic way to my grass that would look like that?

hmm... I don't do a lot of work with 3d's Max... I mostly work with c4d^^
first thought is you'll need to by a better Computer^^ but this isnt a great Idea at all, so good things which you can do are bump maps:
best thing for that is that you do two layers like 0.1 point overlaying. the layer benethe you need to set up with a easy grass texture. the layer on top you can set up wit a pointed alpha.
do you got an Idea of what I mean?
