Hello again. Hope you've had a Happy Valentine's Day. So you've seen Xavier and Emily's backstory and you've heard of Melanie Ravenswood's story too. Now how would you like to hear the backstory of the woman that brought about the death of Emily herself in a strange way?

So you've heard the story of a bride whose heart was as pure as night and was as beautiful as day. You've heard of a bride whose singing voice was as beautiful as an angel and her being just the same and her love between her and her groom being unbreakable and proving so after the defeat of an evil Phantom. This bride has none of those qualities. True, she's beautiful like all of them, but inside, her soul is as ugly as her heart and just as murderous. And she used both to bring the death of an innocent bride to death without touching a finger upon her. This is the story of Constance Hatchaway.

Born under the roof of a rich family household, Constance Hatchaway was always used to things being handed to her, it seemed. And who could blame them? she thought in a rather cocky sort of way. For she had, what some thought, was charm above all and beauty to match. Many men loved Constance like no one could. In her earlier years, she was quite the catch. Constance Hatchaway had beautiful golden blonde hair, pail skin that brought out her lipstick, and a lovely figure to complement it. Many a rich man fell for her like a ton of bricks. They wanted to marry Constance at the drop of a hat. But there was a secret she held out on the world for a while and cleaned up on her tracks, too. She was infamously known for being The Black Widow Bride. For years she murdered rich men and stole their wealth for herself and with rich man she married, she gained a pearl necklace. She murdered men by taking an ax and cutting off their heads. Everytime. After her last marriage to a man named George Hightower, she was finally convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison, but promptly released for good behavior. However, she lost her good reputation of Lady About Town and not to mention that of her own mother and father.

She tried many a time to flirt with men, but many turned her away. Then one day, she met a man that changed her life. Well, she hoped he would. Anyway, his name was Edward Gracey. Master Edward Gracey. The lord and master of Gracey Manor, later to become The Haunted Mansion. She too flirted with him, but he was not interested. He didn't know of her past. "Thank God for that," said Constance to herself. But he wasn't interested at the time. For you see, he favored a more virtuous woman by the name of Emily De Claire Cavanaugh. You may know her well, don't you Dear Reader? Well Constance knew her once she saw she was dating Edward Gracey and was pissed beyond belief. And she wasn't gonna have it.

So later on, she stormed off in anger in discontent at this person. She didn't even look to see the young ventriloquist she bumped into and took her anger out on him. "Why don't you watch what you're doing you idiot?" She yelled at him. "Sorry mam. I didn't notice you before," he said shyly. He was a country bumpkin of a fellow to be sure. Curly blonde hair, white fedora, corduroy jacket and wooden ventriloquist dummy in hand. A showman likely. That's what Constance assumed. But she had no time for games. "Get out of the way jackass. I've got no time for games. And don't apologize," she muttered. "Just look where you're going." Then the dummy spouted, "Hey lady. Why don't you go where you're looking next time? Huh?" Then she flashed an angry glance at the dummy and his boy. The man clasped a hand over the dummy's mouth and ran away and hauled ass. You may recognize our friend, Dear Reader. He was Francis Xavier no less. And that's the truth.Β

Finally, Constance hatched a plan. "I'll kill her. I'll kill that girl Emily or whoever it is," she said to herself. "I'll kill her without laying a finger on her. And no one will ever know." But how would she do it? Simple. She would get someone to break her heart for good and that would be it. Edward would have to say after she died, she thought. He can't no. After all, would he rather die alone or be with someone? But who would do it? Who would break her heart? Then she had an idea. And an awful idea at that. She saw her father talking to her one day and decided he would be the one to kill her. "Yes. Perfect. Hehehehehehehehehehe."

Uh Oh Indeed. Constance Turned To Mr. Cavanaugh When Emily Wasn't Around. So She Trusted. He Was Busy One Day Just Minding His Own Business, When Suddenly He Got A Knock At The Door. It Was A Knock That Would Change His Life For The Worst. "Hello Mr. Cavanaugh," She Said. "We Need To Talk." "What About?" He Said. "Your Daughter," She Said Slyly. "And Her Death." Not So Subtle. "My Daughter's Death? But She's Not Dead. She's Over At Master Gracey's House." "You're Right. Emily Is Not Dead. Not Yet Anyway." Constance Said Smirking.

Thanks You Too. Mr. Cavanaugh Turned Pail For A Second. "My Daughter Dead?" He Said. "No. I Won't Let That Happen." "Oh But You Can. Oh But You Will." Constance Said Smirking. "You Are Going To Help Me Kill Her. Without Laying A Finger On Her." "No. I Won't Do It." Mr. Cavanaugh Said. "Not In A Million Years." Then Constance Drew An Axe Under His Neck. "How About Now?" She Asked. "Who Are You?" He Asked. "Why Do You Know Who My Daughter Is? Why Do Want To Kill Me?" "I Am Constance Hatchaway." Constance Said. "I Know About You And Your Daughter Because I Heard She Was Going To Marry Master Gracey Of Gracey Manor. I Heard The Master Mention Her By Name. I Want To Marry Edward Before She Does And To Do That I'll Have To Kill Her. But Without Touching Her." Mr. Cavanaugh Was Scared. "But How?" He Asked. "I DON'T KNOW!" Constance Yelled. "I HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF IT YET!" Then She Smiled A Devilishly Evil Grin. "But That's Where You Come In. Hehehehehehehehehehe."

Mr. Cavanaugh Was Pail With Horror. "Me?" He Asked. "Of Course. I Can't Risk Getting Blood On My Hands Right Now. I'm On Parole. And I Can't End Up Back In Jail. So I Need You To Do Something About That. You Have Until A Couple Days Before The Wedding To Do It Or Else Your A Dead Man. Hehehehehehehehe." Constance Began To Leave. But Not Before Saying This. "Oh And One More Thing. You Can't Tell Anyone About This. Or Else You're A Dead Man. So No Snitching. You Scratch My Back And I'll Scratch Yours."

Thank You. With That Weight On His Shoulder Mr. Cavanaugh Had To Think Of A Way Around This Mess And Save His Daughter. He Tried To Get Out Of It But Couldn't. Finally Constance Had The Answer To Her Problem. "I've Got It." She Said. "You Do?" Mr. Cavanaugh Said. "Yes." She Said. "You Break Her Heart With The Most Heart Wrenching News You Can Find On Her Groom. Something Like Her Fiancee Died At Sea Or He Left Her For Another Woman. Something Like That." "Oh No. I Couldn't Do That." Mr. Cavanaugh Said. "I Love My Daughter Way Too Much. The Poor Girl Could Barely Stand The News Of Her Mother. She Passed Away Years Ago." Constance Put The Ax Under His Neck Again. "Got Any Better Ideas?"

"You Better Be Careful. I'm Always Watching." Constance Chuckled To Herself Eviley. Finally The Day Before Her Wedding Came And Emily Had Just Received Her Wedding Dress From Master Gracey From Paris. She Was Overjoyed With It. Mr. Cavanaugh Was Waiting To Tell Her But He Was Too Worried To Do It. "No. I Won't Do It." He Said To Himself. "I Have Better Things To Do Than That. I'm A Better Man Than That." Suddenly Constance Showed Up. "Forgetting Something?"

So I've been telling you about Francis and Emily going to Phantom Manor lately and I've been sharing tracks to go with the scene or scenes. What's been your favorite (track)?

Now that we've seen The Phantom defeated, what do you think of that? And followup question, which do you think was more satisfying, Melanie striking The Phantom for killing her groom or Xavier striking The Phantom with a lantern?

Okay. I'd say it's a tie for me. The first one, cause Melanie finally stands up to the man who's been holding her hostage for years and years and years and the second cause it's him getting his punishment for good. Anyway, why don't we continue with the story, shall we?
