# About me

My name is Koldyn and I am 19 years old. I love animals and have a crazy household full of them! :P I absolutely love my horse Deacon and I don't know what I would do without this boy! He's got a bit of a history and you couldn't imagine where the two of us have come from! He's truly my pride and joy and I am so thrilled at how far we've come by ourselves!! I have loved horses all my life and started riding when i was 9! I don't think my horse addiction will ever change for the rest of my life! ;P

I am an amateur photographer who is trying to learn the ropes! I'm really lucky that I've got some great friends that are willing to come help me with my photoshoots! So thank you to everyone who believes in me and I hope you enjoy my photos!

Thank you!! I've worked so hard with Deacon to get to where I am and I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to own such a wonderful horse! I looked at some of your art and it is absolutely stunning! ( :

I definitely am! He was abused as a youngster and was very afraid of people when I got him, people who see him now can't believe he was ever the way I describe! Sad really cuz he's such a sweet boy that it really bothers me that people can do such things! D : He's a percheron x qh, hehe I know a lot of people ask me if he's a Friesian cross of some sort but I just tell them he's my "mock off" The funny part is that I've even had judges evaluate him as a Friesian/Friesian cross! :P (Lick)

No problem, I wish I could draw well but sadly it's stick figures for me! xD

That sounds bad :d But it is extremely great that he has found a loving home, it's a pity that not all horses a destiny as happy as he has got...

Wouldn't have thought about that crossing at all! In some photos he looks like a Friesian, in others like a Morgan horse or something like that. How about, has he been succesful when evaluated as the wrong breed?xD

I have a Nikon D5000 ( they just updated it so it would be a D5100 now i believe) I wish i had the money to upgrade to a better model :/

That's awesome! Well I think you take awesome pictures with it so you really don't need to update! What kind of lenses do you use? I have a nikon D90 myself but I'm saving for the D7000!

Oh my old photography teacher bought the D7000 and it used it a few times, its great :) (Smile) and i was lucky enough to save up for a Nikkor 55-200mm :D (Big Grin)

ya I'm in total debate over getting a few lenses or getting the D7000. My friend has one too and I tried it out and it took some awesome photos! I'm so jealous, that's the next lens on my list! I've only got a 18-105 mm so you have to be right up there to get a good shot!

true, i would totally invest in the Nikkor lense if i were you, the glass is better quality and it runs faster, a great investment :) (Smile)

Ya I totally love Nikkor lenses! I used to have a sony and it honestly doesn't even touch the nikon! I'm debating between the 18-105mm macro or a 50-200mm telephoto! gahh don't you love decisions? :P (Lick)

I would opt for the telephoto, you can get much more use out of it then a macro :) (Smile)
