Ah yes I remember Zija, and hey I'm pretty sure you drew him more than anyone else ever drew their Eekuls haha, s'all good. I also haven't been drawing Eekuls enough, I wanted to redesign them and bring a bit more logic and consistency into their designs but I haven't come up with anything I'm rly happy with yet. Maybe I should just keep them mostly the same but feather/fur-less and without the dumb random eye placements and such.

I used to do that actually, but it wasn't really worth it I guess. Favs and watchers are nice and all, but they're just numbers racking up, and never as valuable as the opinions/advice I get from my friends. Not that I don't appreciate favs too, but I don't see much reason to actively try to get more.

Not really ... it happens on rare occasions that I make creatures still but I don't particularly 'play' it. Why do you ask?

Well...I was absolutely blown away after seeing this video of yours: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDs9S4… , and figured I'd ask if you still made stuff for several reasons. The greatest of those were my curiosity as to whether or not you had more of such creations (I really like your style O: ), and also because it occured to me that your creations might fit PERFECTLY with the crazy stuff this guy does with Spore creatures in Blender: tyroth-dartvyn.deviantart.com/… , so...there's that.
Also, come to think of it, I may as well mention that Dark Injection has seen a large update: 9.r . It's currently in Open Beta, as of May 2016, and it introduces lots of new stuff. More is being added with every Beta release. One feature you may find useful is the fixed textures for many parts. Some parts previously used a muddy mix of multiple layer colours. This has been fixed for the vast majority of parts, which I figure would be useful for colour schemes with as much contrast as the ones in that video. Also, the parts no longer appear greasy and lumpy when they shouldn't. The latest Public release (1.1) does not have any major bugs (aside from a weird offset in the creature stage's editor, but it sounds like that wouldn't matter to you if all you do is create). I apologize if this comes across as an advertisement, it just came to mind as I was typing this and I figured that I may as well mention it - worst that happens is you don't care, right? XD

I do have some more creatures, mostly mechas and spacey looking things, and some dragons as well. Though I often were too lazy to complete my creatures, lol.
Those look pretty rad, kind of how I wish things would appear in Spore by default. I have a little bit of Blender knowledge, but I do wonder how he exported the creatures from Spore.
Oh, that's interesting. I really didn't think anyone bothered with mods for this game anymore, the community has been stone dead for quite a while. I might actually have to go test it now, hah.

Spore includes a cheat code called "colladaexport" which exports a creature to a collada .DAE model. Problem is, it's kinda buggy with regards to part morphs, which is why you'd be arguably better off pulling the GMDL model from your save data and importing it into Blender using the SporeModder Blender Addon. To convert the RASTER textures to DDS, you'll need SpView. Since SpView isn't easily Googleable, here's a direct link: www.mediafire.com/download/s45…

You couldn't be more wrong. Sure, there aren't a ton of developers, but there's a revolution just over the horizon. Remember how I mentioned SporeModder earlier? Well, it is said revolution. The full tool isn't released though, only a pre-alpha version of the Blender Addon. That's why there isn't a ton of activity - everyone is waiting. But since I've had access to SporeModder ahead of time for a while now, I've been using it to the fullest I've been permitted, hence Dark Injection 9.r . The Spore community is far from dead, between Davoonline, /r/Spore, and the Sporum - there are plenty of people around, and they'd love to see a new creator make his grand (re-)entry.
