# About me
I sort of dabble in biology and I love identifying species! So if you have a photo of a plant or bird and would like to know what it is feel free to ask! I can't promise anything but we might get closer to the answer.

I'm glad you asked However, at least with the succulent I'm afraid there's not much I can do. In order to properly identify a plant without resorting to genetic methods you need all kinds of information. Not only about the habitat and climate but also about growth form, how it blooms (if at all), how it reproduces and if there are seeds what they look like.Β
As for the pink flower I think you might be on to something with your guess of a Dianthus species. It's probably not a debtford pink because their petals have teeth while yours only has that notch in the middle. Then again pinks have been cultivated to thousands of different looks so you never know... Do you happen to have more photos of that plant or can you tell me anything about it, e.g. what do the seeds look like, how big is it and how big is one bloom?
If we can't find anything you can also upload your photos to the group PlantIdentification , maybe someone there can help you Β

Hey again I uploaded a picture of the grown plant, maybe you have seen it before.
Have a good one and take care! I'll keep you updated.

You're very welcome! I really liked that close-up shot and the mixture of blurry and focused sparks

Always a pleasure, David Your journals about photography are delightful to read while being very informative and to the point.

Thank you kindly for that. The journals are usually memos to myself about what I've done and what I have learned. If the info is useful to others then that is a bonus. The point about being able to "see" what you want the final image to look like is of fundamental importance, but often difficult to exemplify.Β

Well, I'm sure many other people profit from your experience that way I couldn't agree more. Seeing what my final image should be is still really hard for me, especially when it's a type of photography I'm not experienced in...
