# About me
I'm a middle-aged hippie, and only recently got my mind back from the cleaners. Looking forward to retiring in ten or twelve years...if only it could be now. *sigh*Curiosity may have killed a cat or two, but I'm curious about nearly everything. Fact is, this kinda goes with my dabbling in many areas. Jack of all trades, master of none...doesn't entirely fit me, as I have a complete understanding of a few things, and have the abilities that come with that.
I've been playing with computers since the mid-'70s, which along with a fair amount of clerical training, has resulted in my having a decent job, with great benefits. I didn't have a proper camera until the late '80s, and even then, I couldn't afford much film, let alone the cash for processing. I still have around a dozen rolls of film that have been sitting in a refrigerator since the early '90s. I hope they're still ok.
OK, I take a lot of photos now, and finally was able to buy a Nikon D90 last year. Now I just need to spend more time with it. I draw a fair amount, but mostly I do intricate doodles these days. A bit of painting, clay sculpture, and leatherwork (just now getting back to that after a 30+ year hiatus...inherited all of my father's gear for it). Got the medium-sized Wacom Intuos4 a couple of weeks after it hit the market...need to use it more, but I can't use it at work, where I spend hours drawing things.
