Yea, I hear ya. I just picked up a part time job so I finished up all the commission work I had and now I'm just trying to get a long term project that pays good. I figure if I can make a couple hundred extra a week off commissions Ill be good cause i gotta get to college and get my degree.

oh man ur lucky to be workin on commission, lol im still trying to get my first one. im trying to get out of retail, get a simple PT job and work on commission and other side projects (movies) and such. im hustling myself hard out there just to get noticed. I even rework my Da page and gave it a facelift

just takes alot of perseverance. I still get maybe 2 outta 20 commissions I go for. All you can do is keep pluggin along. Also, doing some free ones sometimes helps out and works to get your name out there. Yea i hate retail, but I'm stuck in it till after college, luckly its Guitar Center and its a fuckin cool as hell job even if it is retail. Yea, and your DA page looks good man, how did you get like the journal thing all pimped?

lol pimp my page. I just cut out some banners in PS, and then just plug them in with links for each page. I did it so its pleasant and luring to the eyes. yeah ive done a good number of free ones just waiting for the free ones to come back and ask for more (but paying the next time).

I have this up and running, i got a page in Elance(cool site) and comic book commission site. trying to find a couple of other ones (working on my own website).

i don't think so. u have a unique style. You do know that no artists' style is the same right? unless you're trying to mimic another artist--- but you still find some difference in it.

Don't worry, and keep trying. just try to enter some contest or post your thumbs where more people can see them.
