you have a cute style of drawing ranma characters, not bad, particularly if you're drawing on a nintendo DS.
I've seen you mention problems drawing hands. have you seen mikeymegamega's tutorials on youtube? I watched a couple videos from him when I stalled out on figure drawing, and some things started to click for me.Β
Good luck!

Man not only hands but everything from below the head (which im particularly stuck in a 3/4 angle). Most of the times i end up looking at references for certain parts where simply i'm not smart enough to figure them out, which means i cant freely draw my favourite characters like i want to, unlike literally everyone else here.
The way i draw bodies consists on an awkward skeleton thing that works around 63% of the times i try it, rather than reducing everything to geometric shapes or whatever (which i have no f**king idea how you guys pull it off), you can take a look at it here:

(press the play button lol)
anyway, thanks!! i'm really doing my best, and even tho my drawing confidence is almost nonexistent, i always try to stay positive.
Hope you look forward for more of my drawings!

that's a cool feature, letting you share time-lapsed drawings.
just keep up the practice, I see a lot of potential.
Theres a whole bunch of different mannequin/skeleton/guideline techniques out there to try, and see what sticks. I used to do it by drawing a vertical oval (for the ribcage) a smaller oval (for the stomach, from below the ribs to just above the hip bone/ love handles) and a big horizontal oval (for the hips). I drew a quick messy time-lapse to show what I mean.Β
hope that helps somehow

nah, only from certain basic angles can I kinda do what I want from imagination. I did a 30 day figure drawing challenge on pencilkings that really helped me out, but its unreasonably expensive now, used to be like $20 with a coupon.Β
These days I use one of those realistic "Phicen" figures for reference, thats been pretty helpful.
It all comes down to filling out sketchbooks. I heard some manga artist say in a youtube video to buy a 500 page pack of printer paper, keep drawing every day as much as you can, and at the end you'll see you really improved. I started trying that 6 months ago, I'm 120 pages in, and I've gotten better. It is hard to stay motivated, and to think of things to draw though.
