# About me
I'm a novelist, digital artist, and probably a little bit of everything else. I write war fiction, paint science fiction, and my poetry is somewhere in between. Soon I'll graduate as a nurse, where I plan to make enough money to purchase my own space station complete with a personal fighter jet made of cats. If asked what my biggest hope and dream for humanity would be, I would say, I'd really like to see us set foot on Mars and beyond.# Comments

My long boring day is still going on unfortunately. It's painful, especially after being away for a week. I will, however, be trying to pick up our note conversation now that I'm back home

Hah, well, mine was supposed to go on at least until 3 PM, but I ducked out early because my knees were achy from sitting through three days of nursing license exam review (and today was, literally, my last day of college--no way I'm going to stay and subject myself to all the sappy goodbyes). And no worries at all, I'm nothing if not patient :] I have been thinking though, take what I said about the tattoo wanting to be about 4 inches big, and maybe expand that to, say, six. I'm also in the process of gathering my thoughts so I can go into the studio in the next day or two and plan out a planet to add to my Normandy. Heyo!

Had an x-ray done today and they found you in my heart. The doctor said that if they took you out, I would die, because I couldn't live with out such a good friend. Give this heart to everyone you don't want to lose in 2012 including me if you care. Try to collect twelve, it is not easy. Be honest and send this to anyone who made you smile this year.

When I said I that I wasn't expecting whatever the thing was that I made that comment on, I meant it in a positive way. My thought process was more of a "Oh! I thought the story was going to be about X, but it's actually about Y!" Meaning, if the story had been about X, it would have been more common place, boring, predictable. I thought it was going to be about something based on how it started, but it was sort of a twist to find out that I was wrong. That's kind of a crappy explanation, but I hope it makes a little sense. Like this-- Oh! I thought this was going to taste like boring old lasagna, but it's actually a pizza instead! I like pizza! (Yep, you can really tell I rely HEAVILY on metaphors.. XD)
I have no issue with you utilizing my wording, per se, but I think it would help challenge you as an author more, and help you grow and improve your skills, if you tried to one up my wording with something better. (Not to say, my wording is the best, now try and beat me--not at all) I wouldn't mind taking some time to work through some sentences with you that I made suggestions on so that you could have the gratification of knowing you wrote something great all on your own. The other danger with using my wording verbatim is that my writing style is very poetic and choppy and particular sounding, and a good reader would be able to spot the difference where my wording was juxtaposed beside yours. Again, not saying, they could tell that yours was bad and then it suddenly got good--just that there is a distinct stylistic difference. Again, I have no qualms whatsoever about you using it--not anything like "Well, I thought that up, so you can't use my idea!", just something to think about. If you used the examples I gave to try and craft a great sentence in your own style, it would flow better. Of course, if you feel as though you don't quite have your own style yet, or don't know in what direction to take it, heck, I'd be flattered if you fell back on mine. I know that I get some small bits of my style from Tolkien, and there's no shame at all in that. Again, these are just things to think about, and I hope I do not come off as negative, because I'm enjoying working with you. :] I'm getting more of Sumire done right now. It just occured to me that I copied it from DA, which often butchers original formatting, so some of the editing corrections I made like "this should be a new paragraph" probably already were when you wrote it originally. Apologies for those. I'll email you the rest that I get done tonight! Again, I don't mind working closer with you on this piece. If I've made a lengthy suggestion, I'd enjoy seeing how you implemented or did not implement it. Helps me to see what types of critiques are and are not helpful.
Also, I wanted to compliment you on your absence of compound word errors. Whether by good luck or on purpose, I've found very few typos and grammatical errors concerning the use of hyphens and such where they shouldn't be used, like splitting a compound word into two when it should be one word (for example, the word autopilot). I made a lot of these mistakes in my first novel. It's a weird thing for me to notice, but considering I've had to fix a lot of those lately, it's something that I'm glad I'm not seeing.

I will often use your suggestions, but I try to blend it into my previous writings. Mostly, it's just a few words like "Ceased" because there wasn't a much better word. My writing style is still very impressionable, when I was young, my style was mostly based on imagery because my life was based on it. I'd be glad with any help you want to give. I have actually updated Sumire with some suggestions you made. Alot of my formatting issues are indeed because of DA; my english teacher would have beaten me if I didn't create and indent paragraphs. XD I'm also starting to get better with commas and semicolons; when I use a comma in front of a conjugation, it's because that was how she taught us, she taught us the "Old style," with that rule. I'm also fairly good with picking up words to spell correctly, so I'm glad you haven't had to fix anything major. Thank you once more. ^-^

It snowed at my house for a little while today but the amount was laughable compared to what Parker got, which is where I got stuck at for the weekend. I've lived in Colorado for four years and before that I grew up in Florida, so I've never seen that much snow in my life. Appropriately, I took it upon myself to build a snow-woman with boobs and write "poop" on my fiance's car in the snow. Artistic, I know. I actually got school off because of it though which was really nice, but I didn't have my laptop with me so I ended up playing thirteen hours of Halo Reach and eating salsa and coffee for two days.

Hah! I liked that other comment you left. The subject of that poem probably sounds a bit odd until you understand that I write sci-fi war novels and the narrator of that poem is the main character of the one I'm currently working on.

The first twelve chapters of book one are up in my gallery. It's also self published through kindle, but I've long given up on trying to sell it, so I've just tried to make it as accessible as possible. I think I may get around to uploading all of it eventually, it's just been a pain in the ass to reformat for DA. By the end of this year I can tentatively say I'm hoping to be done with the sequel--that is, so long as I can hurry up and graduate college and they stop giving me so many papers to write!
