I get that! I was initially lured in by their superhero personas alone. I was expecting their civilian personas to be a bland "meek, dithering girl likes cold aloof boy," but was surprised to find that Marinette is a leader even in her normal capacity, and that Adrien is actually cool.
It makes me ship them hard both in and out of costume. :3
