Hello my dear friend! Thank you for all the faves.. but you got me a bit puzzled..

It's not that I want to be annoying or ungrateful..I'll try to explain.

You see, I have these fail concepts of my TF2 characters, and I explain why I concider them sort of a failure, and even place them in my folder named "EPIC FAIL".

But artists and people here on Deviant Art, including you have added these works to their faves.. and I'm trying to figure out why..

1. Because they still think it's a win?

2. Because they think it is still well drawn, even if it's not completed or coloured or a sketch?

3. Because they like my explanation why is the artwork a fail?

4. Because they love TF2 fanart, doesn't matter which one is it?

Those are just some ideas that pop in my head.. I'd really love to know why have you added my stuff to your faves..

I kinda' think it better belongs to the collection that people should make like "Terrible art" or even "I hate this" or "Bad art" or "Tutorials" or "Fail art" or whatever..well, you get it.

So, what do you think about all of this? I really need your opinion.

I favorited the piece because I enjoy seeing the first few steps, and any sort of concept, whether the creator uses the concept or not. It's just cool seeing how someone evolves a design, and what they consider to be a reason to use it or not.

So it's a bit of number 2, number 3, and the fact that i just enjoy your art. :>

Honestly, I really appreciate that you enjoy seeing my first steps I'm so excited!

You won't even believe what I did in the first place when I tried random designs. That was..really something.

If I haven't thrown it away, I will dig it up and show it to everyone, just to have fun, think and maybe even laugh.

Remember, I'm also watching you, in a good way ;D I love that you draw quickly and a lot of characters.

But my favorite art is when you draw something positive or funny or something about love or self-respect.

Something optimistic..  Every time I see that I'm like "Oh my, what a great idea! I love that!". Also, I know you love to draw creepy stuff, I loved to draw it too, I still have self-portrait in a straight jacket somewhere..

and well, idealogically sensitive stuff. But when I see you make something optimistic or funny it makes me feel cozy inside, It shows me you don't close yourself in scary artwork, you also like happy stuff And I think the person who understands suffering appreciates happiness the most..

I like that you definitely have your style!

You bend the shapes however you like. I respect that. I can't do that I fell like I'm stuck or restricted.

I remember one of my acquittances, he started with simple silouettes before, not complicated stuff, but he had his style.

And I loved it. His dream is to make real cartoons. I don't see a freaking reason why he haven't been employed to do that yet, because his drawings and comics are fun. He was constantly learning, and omgosh, he knows so well how to colour now and how to apply effects and things.. I saw all the progress since the beginning. It's amazing!

I believe you will go far with your artwork my dear I will love to see how you progress, learn as you go and.. I think I'm already seeing this. I feel happy.

I'm very happy to see you enjoy my things that are more happy, and light hearted! Many people prefer my more crude, and cruel things, so i'm very happy to see this!! I know i draw a lot of ideologically sensitive stuff cause I am a bit of a ruffled feather. >_> Makes me happy to see I can draw more nice things and bring joy to others, though! I also love the way you look at it, I'd never thought of it but I guess I do fit well between knowing sadness, AND happiness. :0 I would much rather be happy, than defaulted to sad
And creepy stuff is great too, especially if you like the gothic style (as mentioned earlier)

Don't worry! No need to be jealous! All of us do our stuff, have our style.

I can't draw fast. It's a torture to me.

If someone will give me a sheet of paper with sharpened pencil and tell me to draw right now for 5 minutes,

I would probably send him somewhere far away on Russian

Because I can't do that. I need to siiiiit, thiiink, put muuusic.. and drink something too, then go to the bathroom, then think some more.. well you get it. xD

But sometimes, if I don't need to do chores, or did the chores, or ignore them, or made my man to do them..

I can sit for 7-8 straight hours and draw one freaking thing. Because I get obsessed.

And when I finish some part of the drawing and close it..sometimes I get terrified..what if I have done it bad?

And I need a lot of corrections? Damn I hate to correct the stuff sometimes. Heh.

Ok, enough about myself. Now some questions to you sweetheart.

(Don't freak out, I call all my friends sweethearts, and my fans too)

How do you feel when you draw positive or happy stuff? And how do you get those ideas? What inspires you?

How did you feel before you had the positive idea? Were you positive? It wasn't forced, you did it just naturally, or sometimes you feel like pushing yourself towards it?

I ask you that because I want to understand how it is like for different people.

Also, I wanted to tell you I'm a kind of a jealous person..or envious..or however it's called.

I remembered about it yesterday and it brought me to tears and depressive condition.

Sometimes we need to fight it. Sometimes life is unfair..that's why we get jealous.

Be proud of yourself, your art is great and fun and freaky in a good way, not many people can do that and just express themselves with a fast drawing.

Our artworks are sort of like children, they deserve a name and enough of attention.

First you have the idea, then you carry it with yourself for a while, then you let it out to see the world..

Also, I want to show you one artist here on D.A., he's like..incredible. I've never seen artworks like that in my entire life.

The weird thing is that I didn't feel jealousy or envious..though no matter how I try I will never draw like him.

But I'll draw different, in my style. Or maybe I'll do something else.

His works are pretty much all in one technique, extremely colourful, and can leave the most cold-hearted person to gasp.

The sad thing I found about him is that he put so much love, good spirit and effort in his artwork..and people just write "Amazing" or "Lovely" or something extremely short. Like they have forgotten how to type or speak.

I believe he deserves good comments or constructive criticism. By good comments I mean at least medium sized like "You are truly a genius, I've never seen works like that in my entire life and I don't even imagine how you paint like that! This is so colourful and pleasant to view, each stroke is unique in it's on way.." In example! Well, you get it. He's really damn impressive.

It's hard to impress a bish like me I wonder which artists you like the best, which impressed you the most and inspired you a lot.

Personally, as a friend I'd recommend to have a folder "Tutorials" and "Inspiration" to collect art here on D.A. It really helps in some cases. To feel better, to distract, to learn, to get inspired and create-create-create!

I'm a bit sorry for a megacomment, but I really wanted to speak to you..

I mean, hey, taking time on an art piece shows you're putting some good hard work into it! Whether its just thinking, or letting yourself catch some inspiration, that's still work ^^
It's a bit of a pain to do all my works so quickly, because they have to always be something small or simple. I couldnt bare to do something big or complex, just cause I don't have enough inspiration or cause I'm just a bit lazy-

And alright, I'd be willing to take a gander! Who is he? :0 I like the sounds of his works :^)

(Also, love that you can be humble and not get jealous, thats something I for sure cant do :<)

And most artists I enjoy are kinda.. silly, per say? Some of them are also not particularly good people, but I try and look past that and just see the art. I don't have many inspirations because I've always had a knack for creating art, since I was a baby. But, here are the most prevalent ones that I do have: OneyNG, HotDiggidyDemon, Ian Miller, Sven Stoffles, John Kricfalusi. I also get inspiration from things like Rat-Fink, Superjail, Bear Nuts, and surprisingly a game called "My singing monsters".

And no worries for the large comment! I myself have a hard time reading due to some sight problems, and other issues, but it's nice to have a talk either way!

Oh yes, I agree about the time and effort..

It's okay, sometimes we really lack inspiration, or even motivation. I really needed the 2nd.

Because I'ts like why the hell would I do that if barely someone is interested.. but the important point is..

I'm interested. Me. And to express myself. That's good!

Don't worry lazyness will go away eventually, you will just get fed up and probably be like -

"What the hell, I should do all my ideas, because they're great! If I don't do it now..when will I do it?"

It can also happen

Aw.. hahaha :shy: I'm the jealous kind I think.. But I get like that for a bit different reason.

I get jealous for example if someone is very mainstream and has huge audience just because of that..

..if that person is just a lucky son of a gun. It's like if he would be making pancakes, and I'm making the actual cakes.

He has the dough, but he makes tons of pancakes and feeds it to everyone. And gets a sh%tloads of comments/likes/attention and fans. People are like omg pancakes, we love pancakes.

The difference is that I'm making exclusive cakes. Each dough is special, each filling, each stuffing, decoration.. it needs to be and tasty and beautiful, and healthy if it can be. And I don't get a mainstream public or tons of fans. Because they like pancakes. They give rats arse about cakes. They want to eat something FAST, they don't want to wait at all!

Ok, now the worst part for me. Imagine there's a huuuge bakery. The most impressive one.. I dream to be there.. They have many workers, they make cakes and pies.. but not pancakes..

And they have this person who specialises on pies. He makes pies, makes pretty much the same dough but different filling and pretty much the same deco for the top. He's a pie specialist His style, tasty and everything. And one day that son of a gun decided to make a cake out of pancakes. A tower of pancakes. His dough, his style, but he never makes cakes! It's not his stuff! But he's from that huge bakery.. And everyone OMG LOOK BAKERY WILL HAVE A NEW SET OF CAKES NOW! The food news were screaming "Check out the bakery, they have this new cake and it will be soon available for everyone!". Bakery didn't accepted his idea. They didn't approve the designs, the dough or whatever, that tower of pancakes was abandoned, that's all. But people still love it. Or do they? They're just fanatics, which really know no love..?

..and my cakes? I try to be as cool as that bakery maybe wants me to be, to base on their rules, to be creative..

..but barely someone gives a damn thing about my Designer Cakes.

Gosh I love this reference. Brilliant. It's like telling you everything, but not flashing the names. I love symbolism

There's also another situation where I got jealous..horrifyingly jealous. I'll explain you with cakes too and won't flash the names to be more neutral. Who needs - will understand..

I found this author and I believe he's a genius. He has his style and incredible works.
I hope it will inspire you too!

I'm sure at some point people will learn to appreciate the "cakes" :>

it does take time for fads to pass by.. It's easy to enjoy creators which can produce things quickly, but as people grow older I'm sure they'll be able to take in other ideas of how to appreciate art, and flock to people like you. Time and patience is all thats needed..

And oh!! I actually have been  a fan of his art for a bit now! Every once and a while I check back to him to see what he's done! He really does have some amazing things, I just can never comprehend how he does it.. my favorite art peices from him are the ones that have alot of colors in some places, and then alot of other areas are grey, or only use one or two colors. I'm also amazed by how he can use plain, large strokes, and not use blending, and STILL create wonderful pieces! I wish I could work a palette knife as well as he does :0

The more intake one can receive, the better they can grow and change themselves! It's a wonderful thing :^D

Yes, my favourite are also with grey & colours, for me they´re just perfect.

I love that he makes huge strokes, and also the tinyest ones for important details.

But I don´t even dream to paint like that or to try I think it´s too hard for me..
