I wanted to ask you a quick question.
I finally got a tablet , and I cant draw on it at all , its all new to me , what do you recommend I start out with ?

um... start with something like a tracing, choose a picture and basically copy over it with a new layer so you get the hang of drawing with it and the brush strokes, along with choosing colours.
then after that try drawing from reference. the first drawing is always the hardest cuz it's so foreign

um... it took me like 2 to get used to the tablet and from there i began to draw based on reference.
but it really depends on how long it takes for you to get comfortable with the pen tool. everyone is different lol
and no prob, i don't mind answering questions. btw, you going to anime north '10? working on an insane costume this time

yeah i got quite a few ref. photos and i think that aiming for a version that was..."simplified" would be good.
not saying that it would be like...half of his costume. but just have something more inspired by him. but have the helmet (def.) look like his, because his helmet is kick-ass.
also, i looked at the layers of his costume. and he wears some sort of an under layer that is chainmail or like a leather. i think for that we could make a bodysuit out of stretchy-ish fabric but still looks solid and other than that it's just a lot of construction.
i think it would be good. just making the bodysuit will take time because it need to would have fit you really really well. otherwise it could make your costume look "bulky" or disproportionate. and making the armor will take some time, but if we plan ahead and start early on, it is def. attainable.
my opinion is to start right in the summer vacation. starting with the bodysuit. and then work on the armor from head to toe. in saying so we would have to work out a price contract. for instance, i keep track of the costs of materials and then add in labor fees. also I would need you to come over to my house so i could take your measurements to make the under suit and then work out the proportions for the armor. gah, so much planning. but we could totally pull it off. you up for the challenge?

also its fine if we make the body suit like 2 inches bigger just incase I grow, but I don't mind losing weight if you think he will look better that way.
you want to make the helm and sword first ? since I think it would be the cheapest ,I just don't want to go over 100 bucks
