Many of Disney's, Pixar's and Studio Ghibli's movies are for ever. Their films are timeless. While animation styles and storytelling tempos may change, these films from these 3 studios withstand the test of time and remain celebrated and beloved.

I'd much rather have the Disney classics (and a handful of its modern-day films) and many of Pixar's movies, as well as Studio Ghibli's works, over crude joke-laden, pop culture jab-filled, Top 40 hit soundtrack-filled movies like the horrendous live-action/CGI Alvin and The Chipmunks movies, The Angry Birds movie, Ice Age: Collision Course, and The Nut Job movies.  

Many of the films by Disney, Pixar, and Studio Ghibli appeal to people of all ages - kids and adults alike. They're movies that everyone can have a family movie night together for. They treat their audiences with respect, and many of them don't have Top 40 hits, crude humor, and excess pop culture references.

That's why many families can pass on instant classics like Mary Poppins, Beauty & The Beast, My Neightbor Totoro, Inside Out, Up, The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians, and Tangled to their kids and grandkids just as they were handed Cinderella, Dumbo, Sleeping Beauty and Aladdin when they were younger.

I have a whole collection of these classics on Blu-ray!
