Work takes too much time. Just stalking around here at the moment.

Had to spend a lot of money earlier this year. Not hobby related tho >_> got to work hard now. Didn't have a vacation this year either >_>

well right now i have some gundam models i would like to start on and an M60 tank model. but i would like to do minis as well

I'd suggest F.A.Q. of the AFV painting techniques by Mig Jiménez, for tanks and other armor.
That will help you with Gunpla as well.

For the miniatures, the best tutorial videos i've seen so far are from miniature mentor. And Speed painting techniques with Thomas David is particularly good.

But my suggestion would be to not constrain yourself. It's good to have some guidance at the start, but it's always best to explore other possibilities as you get to know yourself better. And use the tecniques that is most comfortable for you. There's no single way of doing something right

Converting toyz to be Ork vehicles for Warhammer 40k is always fun and you can use them for wargaming too!

And best of all, you can't go wrong with Orks. Almost anything is acceptable, as long as it's on scale (1/48-ish, sometimes 1/35).
Seeing some actual models and minis helps you grasp the scale.
